ADSIS Funding Points to Remember ‘The approved budget amount does not equal the revenue that will be generated by the program. ADSIS is subject to the new special ed funding formula ©The new formula is based on PRIOR year ~ so there will be no funding for FY16 (but will be funding in FY17 and FY18) © Expenditures in FY16 will increase the base/minimum amount for future years © The ceiling/maximum funding calculations will be unchanged Expenditure amounts are limited to the approved budget areas. For example ~if you are only approved for a 1.0 FTE teacher and the Read Naturally curriculum, you couldn’t code mileage to ADSIS. However, ifthe 1.0 FTE teacher costs more than the budget, you can request a budget adjustment. You can request budget adjustments through Michael Brooks ~ Michael.brooks@state,mn.us. Expenses should be coded to Program 422 and Finance code 740. ADSIS is a two year program. An additional budget and narrative will need to be submitted for 2016-17, along with an evaluation of year 1. GCED will coordinate these activities.
