20 years ago

rebuilding

• State Legislature continues work on budget

• Governor’s budget called for major reductions to school district


budgets
• cuts to state-funded K-4 teacher/student ratios, (nearly $2
million) may increase class size targets

Enrollment Review Committee presented findings Feb. 2010

• Observations:
•previous projections provided sound data
•all elementary schools in Renton and Hazen high school
service areas are at or above ideal capacity
•district should continue to monitor overloads
•all secondary schools, with the exception of McKnight
Middle School and Hazen High, have adequate space for
the 2010-2011 school year
•no requests for portables
