Self-Assessment
After the in class session reflect on your contributions during the group exam. Be
specific about your contributions to the group in the following areas:
My Knowledge of Theories:
(Vygotsky, Piaget, Multiple Intelligences)

I came to the exam well prepared by refreshing my mind on each of the

theories. This helped me to contribute ideas for uses of each theory during
our exam.
Although my job for this exam did not require me to take notes on any of the
theories, I remained well informed of the theories and was capable of
contributing to our group when needed.
My Group Processing Contributions:
(Initiating discussion, organized, asking others for info/ideas/opinions, encouraging
others, recognizing contributions of others)

Before the exam, we met up as a group and I made sure I asked my group
questions to clarify some concepts and to propose new ways of thinking
about concepts. This helped my group and I understand the different
dimensions of some of our objects in the classroom we created.
I also took on the responsibility of writing the key for our classroom map,
this contributed organization to our group during the exam.

Additional Contributions I made:

(Preparations for the exam, for the presentation, study sessions, etc.)

I took notes on the English standards for the common core that we added to
our group notes. I also needed to be able to communicate to my group the
basic ideas of the common core and how it is applied to science and social
studies as well. During the exam, I was in charge of writing the key so I
brainstormed ideas for how to structure the key in the best way. I helped keep
our group organized during the exam by having/writing an organized key

Group-Assessment
Name each member of your group below and give feedback on their contribution to
the groups efforts. Be specific about their involvement before and during the exam.

Name: Catherine Valdes

Catherine was in charge of taking notes on the Multiple Intelligences.
She took good notes and had a good understanding of the intelligences which
helped during the exam so she could contribute examples quickly for us to
include. Before the exam, we scheduled a time to meet up and plan, and we
agreed to have our notes ready by that time so we could quickly go through
and plan out how we would attack the exam. Catherine came late, and didnt
have any notes written about the multiple intelligences. So she spent our
group time taking all of the notes.
Name: Meryn Creasman
Meryn was in charge of taking notes on the Math Standards. She took great
notes, they were concise and easy to understand. Meryn had a great
understanding of the theories and had several examples and ideas of things
we could include in the classroom. She also has a great attitude which was
definitely helpful during our exam.
Name: Emily Schipper
Emily was in charge of taking notes on Piaget. She took very good notes and
made a point of including teaching strategies and examples for each stage
which was really helpful for us by the time of the exam. Emily also is a great
person to step up and take responsibility. She drew our classroom during the
exam and also offered to redraw and rewrite the map and key.
Name: Carly Hampton
Carly was in charge of taking notes on Vygotsky. Carlys notes were very
clear and helpful. Carly definitely stepped up as a leader in our group. She
kept us in line, kept us organized, and kept us moving during the exam.
Carlys leadership really helped us all find our place to contribute to the
group and allowed us to finish the exam efficiently.
Reflect on the testing process,
How did this feel as an exam? Pros, cons.
This was a good type of exam for what we are studying. It is an interesting way to think
about some of the concepts and it was very practical. It was also difficult at times because
I definitely have an intrapersonal intelligence personality so I like doing things on my
own.
