An actor is a person portraying a character in a dramatic or comic
production ; he performs in film ,television ,theatre ,radio ,commercials or
music & videos. Actor, literally means "one who interprets"; [ an actor , then , is
one who interprets a dramatic character . Method of acting is an approach
in which the actor identifies with the portrayed character by recalling
emotions or reactions from his or her own life .Presentational acting refers
to a relationship between actor and audience , whether by direct address or
indirectly by specific use of language , looks , gestures or other signs
indicating that the character or actor is aware of the audience's presence .
In representational acting , "actors want to make us 'believe' they are the
character ; they pretend."
Formerly , in some societies , only men could become actors , and women's
roles were generally played by men or boys.

Suriya (bornSaravanan Sivakumaron 23 July 1975) is an Indian film actor
producer , philanthropist and television presenter , who is currently working in
the Tamil film industry.[2]After making his debut inNerukku Ner(1997), Suriya
went on to feature in several critical and commercial successes , most notably
Nandha (2001), Kaakha Kaakha(2003) , Pithamagan(2003) , Perazhagan
(2004) , Ghajini(2005) , Vel (2007), Vaaranam Aayiram(2008),Ayan(2009),
Aadhavan(2009),[4]Singam(2010),7aum Arivu(2011)[5]andSingam II(2013). As
of 2010,[6]he has won threeTamil Nadu State Film Awards and threeFilmfare
Awards South. He was listed 33 inForbes India's "Celebrity 100 List" for the year
