Steps:
Pre-Listening
1. Show a picture of a zoo.
2. Guide pupils to talk about the picture. Ask questions:
Eg: What can you see in the picture?
Can you name the type of animals in the picture?
While-Listening
3. Pupils listen to the action song.
4. Sing and get pupils to sing along.
5. Repeat the whole song and ask pupils to replace the words in the lyrics
Eg: Dog, cat, duck etc (domestic animals)
Elephant, tiger etc (wild animals)
6. Ask pupils questions on the action song.
Eg: What are the names of the domestic animals in the action song?
What are the names of the wild animals in the action song?
Where can you see domestic animals?
Where can you see wild animals?
Post-Listening
6. In groups, pupils look at a worksheet and try to name the animals.
7. They present their answers to the class.
