COMPANY PROFILE

Third Power Manufacturing & Distribution is an upcoming food manufacturing firm that specializes
on producing of Cocoa Cube. The name Third Power was given by the four owner of the business who
runs the company from day-to-day basis.
The company will begin as a small manufacturing business that aims to establish its role in the
industry as a manufacturer of a new product venture, in the economy as a provider of a cheap but
healthy cube drink, in the country as a consumer of local goods, and in the market as the first
company which produces high-end products to help the consumer with their daily nutrient requirement
need. The factory/company will be located at Namayan, Mandaluyong City.

COMPANY LOGO

The logo symbolizes the four (4) owners of the company namely; Geiana Kersha C. Gatdula,
Brenda C. Manalo, Lezeil B. Martires & Tommy R. Varela. Its color signifies the four owners; three light
brown circles represent the girls and dark brown represent the boy. Four circles also exemplify the four
stages of life cycle which means that in whatever phase that the product may face, the linkage will
never break and yield into a stronger bond.

nutrients they need in the most enjoyable way!
As a chocolate drink manufacturer, we endow our consumers with a creation that will
satisfy their thirsts with an adequate nutrient in just a stir

devoted in providing high quality drink to all types of consumer with proper nutrients who
seek fun and will continue to expand and improve a good quality product that will be
patronize by the endeavours for its growing years

A general manager is the one whos in-charge on over-all operations of the company.
Part of being a general manager is to be a key-player of the company in maintaining its smooth
operations. An eligible general manager will endow with the required discipline, evaluation and
feedback required for his people to be triumphant. A general manager is responsible in making
major decisions and responsible in giving proper solutions for the major and minor problems of
the company.
Qualifications:

Graduate of any business related courses, MBA is an advantage

B. Plant Manager
Duties & Responsibilities
Plant managers are the people who watch over and organize the daily operations of
manufacturing plants and similar places. Plant managers oversee employees, production and
efficiency, to make sure the plant is running smoothly, quickly, efficiently and safely.

Qualifications:

Graduate of Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent

1) Production Engineer
Duties & Responsibilities
The production supervisor position is responsible for supervising shop employees
in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position plans and assigns work,
implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production
methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

Graduate of BS Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or


any related course

At least 2-3 year work experience

1) Quality Control Analyst


Duties & Responsibilities
Quality Control Analysts ensure that lab cleanliness and safety standards are
maintained develop and qualify new testing methods, train other analysts to perform
laboratory procedures and assays, perform visual inspections of finished products,
participate in internal assessments and audits as required and identify and troubleshoot
equipment problems.

1) Warehouse Personnel
Duties & Responsibilities
Warehouse workers operate under the supervision of a manager or team
leader and are primarily responsible for receiving, sorting, storing, taking inventory,
keeping records and organizing for the shipping of merchandise stored in the
warehouse. The workers are also responsible for operating automated equipment such
as forklifts, conveyor belts, rail cars and high stackers. The work is physically strenuous
so warehouse workers have to be fit. Workers receive on-the-job training to prepare
them for their responsibilities.

Duties & Responsibilities
Schedule and dispatch workers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles to

Duties & Responsibilities
Maintenance personnel shall be responsible for routine daytime maintenance and
custodial work, assisting with the lunch program, emergency daytime maintenance and

Buildings and Grounds. Specific duties shall be assigned by the Director of Buildings and
Grounds in cooperation with the building principal. Specific duties shall vary with each

FORMS OF ORGANIZATION

Partnership is one form of business. The entrepreneurs will be engaged in this form of business
where two or more persons share and contribute their properties or money for the establishment of
the desired business. Partnership may be general or limited. General Partnership is where the
partners have unlimited liability for the debts and obligation of the partnership while Limited
partnership is where one or more general partners have unlimited liability and the partners only
have the liability up to the amount their contribution. The entrepreneurs decided to make the
business a general partnership.
Under this form of business, the company should concern themselves in the following offices or
agencies:
1. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
Partnership and corporation are required to register in this agency. This is responsible for
supervision of all registered business including suspension and revocation of their registration.
2. Local Government Unit (LGU)
The company should register with the municipality or city where the business will be set up.
They will be the one who will issue the business permit.
3. Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)

4. Social Security System (SSS)
The business should register in this agency for provision of retirement and health benefits for
the employers as well as the companys employees or workers. The agency will issue an SSS
number for the business and for the workers.
BENEFITS:

Sickness - Its a daily cash allowance paid for the number of days a member is unable to
work due to sickness or injury.

Maternity - A daily cash allowance granted to a female member who is unable to work
due to childbirth or miscarriage.

Disability - A cash benefit granted either as a monthly pension or a lump sum amount to
e member who become permanently disable.

Retirement - Its a cash benefit granted either as monthly compensation or a lump sum
amount to a member who can no longer work due to old age.

the beneficiaries of a deceased member

Funeral - A funeral grant of Php20 000 to whoever paid for the burial expenses of the

Salary Loan - Its a cash loan granted to an employee, currently- paying self- employed or
voluntary member. It is intended to meet the members short- term credit needs.

5. Department of Trade and Industries (DTI)


The company should register their business name in this office. This agency regulates the
requirements and procedures needed in registering a business name. Registration of business
name will assure customers that the business is safe and can be trusted.
6. PHILHEALTH
This is a requirement for government and private sectors. Workers of the business should be
registered in this agency for health benefits. This agency manages and administers the
government health care system.
It is a medical insurance company and all employees are required to be contributors of this
service (Republic Act 7875). Members are given health and hospitalization subsidies should
they or dependent be hospitalized. Monthly contributions are based on actual monthly salaries
of the employee and the amount of employee contribution is matched equally by the
employer.

7. Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)
If the business will employ five or more workers, they should register with this office. This
agency promotes employment opportunities, protect workers and promote their welfare,
develop human resources, and maintain industrial peace.

Wage and Wage Related Benefit - Wage is the amount paid to an employee in
exchange for a task, piece of work, or service rendered to an employee. Wage may be
fixed for a given period, as when it is computed hourly, daily or monthly. It may also be
fixed for a specified tasks or result. If wage is for a fixed period, the minimum wage for
regular 8 hour workday shall not lower than the minimum daily wage applicable to the
place of work.

Payment of Wages - Wages should be paid in cash, legal tender at or near the place of
work. Payment may be paid through a bank upon written petition of majority of all workers.
It shall be made directly to the employees.

8. Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF)


All SSS members are required to register in this agency under RA 7742. This agency is the one
who is responsible for managing the Pag-ibig Fund. Employers are required to contribute, on
behalf of their employees, to the Home Development Mutual Fund (Republic Act 7835) also
known as Pag-ibig Housing Development Program. This government agency provides the
lowest interest housing and land acquisition loans to its member that are payable for up to 30
years. This gives every worker an opportunity to own a house in easy payment plans that can
directly be deducted from their monthly wages.

COMPANY POLICIES AND REGULATION

Management policies and procedures are deliberated as an essential element in managing


business enterprises, especially its internal functions, because it obliges employees working within the
company in harmonious way and protects its interest. This is formulated or adopted by
an organization to reach its long-term goals. It influence and determine all major decisions and actions,
and all activities take place within the boundaries set by them.

The companys operating hours is from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm only.

2.

It will operate six days a week, from Monday to Saturday.

Employees are entitled for an hour break and 30 minutes snack time daily.

B. Basic Plant Policy


a.

Employees shall be wearing their proper uniform including the identification card
upon entering the companys premises.

b.

Always apply 5S. Sort, Systematize, Self-Discipline, Sweep, Sanitize in every work
you do.

c.

Safety first is one major policy to be observed and implement.

All employees are required to always wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
uniforms inside the plant for safety and help avoid injuries.

All employees shall show willingness and cooperation particularly on the assigned
tasks given to them.

f.

Any accidents should be reported immediately and to be followed by submitting an


accident or incident report document.

C. Hiring Policy
a.

Applicants shall undergo basic examination and three sets of interview. (The said set
are not required to those employees abounding by the agency)

b.

Hired Applicants are required to undergo a medical examination to ensure the


stability of their health.

c.

Hired Applicants are required to undergo a drug test to know if there is any history of
using illegal drugs and in need of rehabilitation.

d.

Hired applicants are required to undergo a 3 months of training with a basic salary
based on the position applied.

Salary is given in a 15 days basis (every 8s and 23s of the month; cut offs are
during 15s and 30s of the month)

Mandatory Provisions
All the employees are responsible in training themselves with the companys
rules and regulations. Anyone who does not acquainted himself with the policies after
a month in the training service will be deemed without prejudice be terminated in the
welfare of the company, and will be subjected to disciplinary action or under
observation of probationary.

Attendance
Punctuality is stimulated among the employees at all times. Tardiness
unreasonable absenteeism is subjected to disciplinary actions.

Tardiness resembles to a per minute salary deduction rate plus disciplinary action that
would come from their superiors.
All non- management employees are therefore required to sign in or to punch in at the
start of each work session in the morning and again in the afternoon.

Drinking alcoholic beverages before and during working hours especially when in the
company premises

Fighting or misunderstanding with co-workers

Playing, gambling or sleeping during working hours

Bringing deadly weapons or sharp objects

Smoking within the plant premises

Bringing electronic gadgets such as cellphones, mp3 players, ipad and anything that may
distract the workers attention from his duty

H. Penalty
Any violator of the said company policies shall be penalized in accordance with the following:

3rd Offense - 1 day to 1 month suspension w/o pay

And if it exceed from the above numbers of offenses, the management will hereby

Security

To justify for the establishment of employers health and the safety requirement of the
organization, we will provide the following as to comply with the labor code of the Philippines:

Employees are required to wear their proper uniform within the work premises.

Wearing of accessories and make-ups for the workers in production area is strictly
prohibited

Employees are required to wear hairnet and mouth mask for consumers safety.

J.

Uniforms
In relation to one of the companys policy regarding proper grooming, company employees are

required to wear proper uniforms, especially the operators, security guard, maintenance personnel,
drivers and operating supervisor. The company would provide their respective uniforms to the
operators, drivers and operating supervisor, while the uniform of the security guard would come from
their agency.
