Presenting rocks You are going to make a presentation about the different types of rock to a group of pupils before they go on a geology field trip. Your presentation is the only background information they will receive to help them understand about the different types of rock they will find. You can produce a slide-show presentation or make an information leaflet using desktop publishing. Use textbooks, CD-ROMs and the Internet, if possible, to research your presentation. Try to use more than one source of information. Remember, you should write in your own words rather than copy text from sources. Include illustrations if you can to show how the rocks are formed. Here is a suggested list of things to include in your presentation: TITLE General introduction Igneous rocks ‘* How are they made? ‘* What do they look like? * Give two examples. © What can they be used for? Sedimentary rocks * How are they made? What do they look like? © Give two examples. ‘* What can they be used for? Metamorphic rocks ‘* How are they made! © What do they look like? * Give two examples. © What can they be used for? Summary
