Self-Assessment
After the in class session reflect on your contributions during the group exam. Be
specific about your contributions to the group in the following areas:
My Knowledge of Theories:
(Vygotsky, Piaget, Multiple Intelligences)

I contributed a lot with the multiple intelligences, from the plant garden and
the aquarium to the healthy food table. I helped with the thoughts about
Vygotsky by figuring out if we could apply scaffolding to different things
around the classroom, such as circle time. With Piaget, we had to include
both preoperational and concrete operations in the room. I had a fun time
contributing to how the things in the room could be included in
preoperational, like the play kitchen.
My Group Processing Contributions:
(Initiating discussion, organized, asking others for info/ideas/opinions, encouraging
others, recognizing contributions of others)

I feel like I did a really good job of making sure everyone had a chance to
make suggestions and share their ideas. I was also very encouraging during
the exam. We, as a whole, did a great job of including everyones ideas and
not just one persons thoughts.
Additional Contributions I made:
(Preparations for the exam, for the presentation, study sessions, etc.)

I prepared the notes for the Common Core State Standards on Mathematics.
I also worked with my group to figure out what we would include in our
presentation. Another contribution that I made was preparing my portion of
our presentation

Group-Assessment
Name each member of your group below and give feedback on their contribution to
the groups efforts. Be specific about their involvement before and during the exam.

Name: Carly Hampton - Carly did an excellent job at leading our group. She
is the one who helped us keep our thoughts organized and made sure we
included every theory with enough detail. She also kept us from getting off
track. She also contributed to the notes before the exam. I believe she did
the Vygotsky notes.
Name: Emily Schipper Emily was another great leader in our group. She
drew the classroom and did the touch up drawing as well. She made sure we
did not miss anything before we left the exam. She helped lead our thoughts
so that every detail was included. I believe Emily did the notes on Piaget
before the exam.
Name: Abby Whitwam Abby, much like me, helped everyone feel like their
thoughts were being heard. She wrote out the key and kept us organized with
that. I could tell during the exam that she knew the material and had prepared
well. Abby was the other person doing notes on the Common Core State
Standards. She did the English portion.
Name: Catherine Valdes Catherine wrote the notes on the multiple
intelligences. She did a really good job at contributing ideas during the exam
and having legitimate reasoning behind her ideas. She also helped organize
the room so that everything had a good place and had a reason for being in
that place.
Reflect on the testing process,
How did this feel as an exam? Pros, cons.

This exam was actually quite fun for me. I liked the idea of working together
with other people and collaborating our ideas to get the best result. I also
really liked the fact that we applied our knowledge on the subject in a way
that was creative and fun. I appreciated that it was not a written exam
because I feel as though I do better with applying information when I can
actually use it in a useful way rather than just memorizing the information.
