Dear Parents,
!
Over the course of this year we are going to be immersed
in the art of continuous learning. Through the students learning,
your son/daughter will practice multiple skills using the
techniques of remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing,
evaluating, and creating. The students will submerge themselves
into these techniques through novel studies, writing, math
concepts, and even science/social studies activities. Although we
will constantly be completing daily tasks and activities, there are
4 major projects that I will be collecting to create a portfolio for
each student. This portfolio will be sent home at the end of the
year for you to view what the students have learned, analyzed,
applied, and even created throughout 4th grade based on specific
topics. I hope you all enjoy and can assist in creating a creative
portfolio with your son/daughter.!

Remember,
understand, apply,
analyze, create.

Project 3

Debate based on water on

Mars. After studying and
reading about the debate
if there is water on Mars
and students providing a
school wide survey to the
teachers, two groups were
formed. These groups then
had to hold a debate on
Kidblog (with the
supervision of the teacher)
using the facts that they
gained from research,
readings, and the survey.

Blooms Skills:

Analyzing and

done at home and
submitted (or shared) with
the teacher. Students will
work in groups and a
rubric will be given.

Blooms Skills:

Remembering,
