WHAT WE NEED FOR 5G DEPLOYMENT IN EUROPE:
FIRSTLY, we need cooperation of all stakeholders , which now means: the research area, the telecom business, but also all kinds of industrial beneficiaries in many areas: from IoT, autonomous vehicles, smart cities, eHealth new opportunities for shifting the healthcare systems, virtual reality business, especially game industries, security etc., and - of courseusers/ consumers with all their expectations related to the user friendly solutions based on ultra-high speed - 100 times faster than now. SECONDLY, we need to finalize our efforts for 700 MHz allocation and usage - as starting point and background for building the strong mobile 4G business and accessibility. It will be the basis for 5G. But we need to know, how to develop the fibre solutions and have the wealthy composition of networks of different kinds. We need to compose higher frequencies and lower latencies. THIRDLY, we need to cooperate with the global companies and ITU for preparation and starting the work on Giga solutions. If we want to achieve the goals for successful 5G implementation globally - we have to consider the scenarios of using: sub - 1 GHz, from 1 - 6 GHz, and above 6 GHz. FOURTHLY, we need to know what kind of harmonisations and in which areas - are needed for 5 G development, so we have to describe the new model of rules for regulatory institutions, much more oriented on European cooperation. At the same time, we need to work hard on the standarization. Standarized solutions are basis for real successful interoperability and guarantee for connectivity. It requires common European framework.
FIFTHLY, it is important to simplify the rules at the area of telco. We need
rules, we need requirements for healthy competition due to the EU law, but this is the question - which model is more effective now: ax ante or ex post analysis. It is the key solution, when we want to involve market forces for future development of the 5G. SIXTHLY, we have to invest. So, it is important to create better conditions for the business to invest in the future 5 G. But I think that there are many possibilities for different kind of partners in those investment efforts future participants, users, and investment contributors. Why it could be possible? Because 5G is a key game changer for the new type of industrialization, focused not on separated sectors, but on industrial verticals and give them the connectivity. 5G can establish connectivity in vertical and horizontal terms. SEVENTHLY, we need the road map for 5G. So, our today's discussion should be focused on key points for this road map - as a compass for all stakeholders.
