Education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom, a quotable quote from George
Washington Carver.
As a course requirement, we are tasked to conduct Field study 4, 5 and 6 for the second
semester. Field study 1, focuses about exploring the curriculum, Field Study 5 deals with the
Learning Assessment Strategies and Fieldy Study 5 referring to On Becoming the 21 st Century
Teacher.
Decemeber 7, 2015, we conducted our first field study at Itlugan Elementary School. I
was assigned to observed Grade V- Sampaguita and my cooperating teacher named Mrs. Lennie
B. De Mesa.
Flage ceremony was started at exactly 7 oclock in the morning. After the flag ceremony
the class was started. Their first class is English and their teacher is Mrs. Rosalinda Contreras.
Before discussion, she started by having a checking of attendance followed by review about their
previous lesson which is noun nad pronoun. Checking of assignments and then, reading a story
as her motivation that will serve as the topic introducer. Students following the standard for silent
reading. She discussed adjective but the principal told her that she need to go in the office. So
that, the principal told me that I will be the one who will continue the disccussion.
Their second subject was Science. Before Mrs. De Mesa start, she made a short review to
refresh learners mind about their prvious topic which is mixtures. Their topic was Differenciation
of Solvent, Solute and Solution. She prepared a video to their learner to understand the topic
more. Then, she also conducted a group activity and before the class end she asked her students
to do their performance task.
Then mathematics same routines that Ms. Lorna Reyes made a short review, checked
students assignments and discussed about subtraction of decimals.
Filipino their teacher was Mrs. Alona Amante, and students tasked to do their performace
task.
Next is EPP , I enjoyed observating learners and Mrs. Reyes because her class made
students love listening and they also enjoyed it but they gain more knowledge.
Seconf to the last was Hekasi and their teacher was Mrs. Josephine Tumambing and she
discussed about the government.
Lastly, Arts and Mrs. Contreras discussed about well known painters and the motivational
activity always present before starting the disccusion. And the end, she gave students a quiz and
the CPL was 92.90 %.
Those strategies that every teachers made, are very worth adapting because those
methods of teaching help a lot of students to easily learn about the topic that the teacher
discussing. And I know that it will help me to improve my skills and to be prepared on my
nchosen profession.
