MISSION OF THE STATE COLLEGE
NIPSC, as a state-supported institution established pursuant to B.P. 500, aims to provide education and
training for human to accelerate and sustain the socio-economic transformation of its service area by offering
quality, relevant, accessible and effective polytechnic programs.
Specifically, NIPSC is committed to:
1. Provide education that will promote personal development, social responsibility, technical proficiency, and
professional integrity;
2. Provide responsible professionals/leaders, competent technologists, high-skilled technicians and workers
and dynamic entrepreneurs for rural
development.
3. Undertake research and extension to further knowledge and technology transfer;
4. Enhance its critical role in community development; and
5. Use planning to effectively respond to the changing environment, and to achieve balanced growth.
PROGRAM OUTCOMES
At the end of the semester the students can:
1. Articulate the relationship of education to larger historical, social, cultural and political processes;
2. Facilitate learning using a wide range of teaching methodologies in various types of environment;
3. Develop alternative teaching approaches to diverse learners;
4. Apply skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, materials development, instructional delivery and
educational assessment;
5. Demonstrate basic and higher levels of thinking skills in planning, assessing and reporting;
6. Practice professional and ethical teaching standards to respond to the demands of the community;
7. Pursue a lifelong learning foe personal and professional growth.
