Mr.

Bowdens Standard of Success


Hello,
I am Mr. Donnie Bowden. I am a P.E. instructor. This is my first year of teaching. I
created this letter of acknowledgement to notify you of what I expect from the
students and what the students can expect of me. The areas this letter will cover
are: classroom rules, daily procedures, and consequences. I call this my Standard
of Success.

Classroom Rules and Consequences


1. Arrive to class prepared and on time
Students must be dressed in active wear (Shorts, T-shirt,
Running Shoes) otherwise they will be docked participation
points
Tardiness results in a detention
2. Late Work
Late work results in a loss of a letter grade for each day it is late
3. Treat Others with Respect
Respect one another and their personal space, Keep hands and
feet to self, failure to do so will result in a trip to the office and
deduction of participation points.
4. Participation
Students must fully participate in order to acquire daily
participation points; there are exceptions such as illness, injury,
excused absence, etc. Each case will be handled as it arises.
5. Hygiene
Students are required to shower at the end of class and to where
deodorant to prevent bad hygiene for other teachers
6. Other Discipline Issues
Other discipline issues will be handled individually in a case-bycase fashion where a suitable consequence will follow.
Daily Procedures(This is the daily process and will be modified at times for
particular circumstances)
1. Dress for class, Hand-in Assignments, Line-up in Squads for Attendance
2. Warm-up
3. Participate in Daily Activity
4. Put away Equipment and Cooldown
5. Preview of the Next Day Requirements and Assignments
6. Shower and Change

It is an honor and privilege to work with your child/student. This should be a fun,
subjective learning experience for the students and myself. If you have any
