ED Tech Toolbox
By Fatima Nicdao

Hello!

Im Fatima
I am an educator and tech guru at
St. Pius X - St. Matthias Academy
in Downey, CA
I teach Honors English 10, Psychology, AP Psychology,
Yearbook/Newspaper, and am a Curriculum Team member.
In addition, I am the Director of Educational Technology
and manage the IT Team.
I love to travel and collect Funko Pop Toys.
Fun Facts: I worked for 2 years in Apple Santa Monica as a specialist and
trainer. I went back to education after an elderly woman praised my
patience and told me I should be a teacher someday (she was convinced
I was in college at the time though I was 30).
I also went around the U.S. and sold gumball machines.

Last Tips on Teaching with Technology

Try New Things

Gather Data

Organize Ideas

Try one new app a

month. Dont binge on
apps; it will get old really
quick! Focus on one skill
to enhance with ed tech.

Gather qualitative and

quantitative data with
Google and keep these as
indicators of growth.

Get an Evernote
notebook and organize
your awesome ideas. You
can even upload PDFs
and presentations in
Notebooks. Get Pocket!

Keep Learning

Streamline

Think Global

Get on Twitter and add

people. Find your
favorites and follow who
they follow. Learn one
new thing about tech
each day.

Build a website for your

classes, and different
activities. Nothing
organizes better than a
website.

Share your work in a

digital portfolio, have
students keep a learning
portfolio, blog, show
work and celebrate your
accomplishments.

Thanks!
