Statement from Sen. Perfect
State Sen. Chip Perfect (R-Lawrenceburg) made the following statement today explaining his view on Senate Bill 344: Senate Bill 344 posed a challenging issue, with passionate viewpoints on both sides. After listening to each and every testimonial, there were compelling reasons to support it, and not to support it. I have learned from public testimony and my personal experience that Hoosiers are tolerant, inclusive and caring people. Ultimately, it is my opinion that the bill had the potential to be more divisive than to be a solution to the problem. Moving forward, I put my faith in the people of Indiana, and trust that they will act in a way that respects the dignity of all citizens. -30A high-resolution photo of State Sen.
