Your Analysis
1.

Were the Learning resources/materials arranged properly according to

their functions and characteristics?

In Polo National High School, the learning resources/materials are

arranged properly according to their function even if their found in different
areas in school. They have specific areas for every learning resources.

2.

Do the guidelines and procedures facilitate easy access to the materials

by the teachers? Why? or Why not?

Yes the guidelines and procedures facilitate easy acces materials by

the teaxher, because the incharge in that is always around. And also they have

3.

What are the strengths of this Learning Resource Center?

The main resource center of Polo Natinal High School is their library,
their library has enough books and the library was clean and attractiveness.

4.

What are its weaknesses?

I think the weaknesses of Polo National High School are the

classrooms need more chairs and rooms. Because the students were uncomfortable
in their chair because most of that were broken.

5.

What suggestions can you make?

My suggestions was only to have good classroom management the

teachers for the good learning of the student.

Your Reflections

1. Which of the materials in the learning resources caught your interest

the most? Why?
Lapel is the learning resources that caught my interest most, because
even if the voice of the teacher is medium, lapel makes its louder as louder
as he want. It also caught the attention of the students because all of them
hear what their teacher said.
2. Which gadgets/materials are you already confident to use/operate?
Overhead projector and laptop are the materials that I already
confident to use and operate because I know how to operate and use that
materials.
3. Which one do your feel need to learn more about?
I think I need to learn how to use lapel, because beside I dont know
how to use it, my voice is not good enough to hear at the back when I was in
front of the class.

Display boards, or what we more commonly refer to as bulletin board, is one
of the most readily available and versatile learning resources.
To reach your target, follow these steps:
Step 3: Propose enhancements to make the
display more effective.
Step 2: Pick one and evaluate the display.
Step 1: Look around a school for bulletin board displays.

An Observation Guide for the BULLETIN BOARD DISPLAYS

Read the following statements carefully before you observe.
1. Go around the school and examine the board displays. How many board
displays do you see?
2. Where is the display boards found? Are they in places where target viewers
can see them?
3. What are the displays about? What images and colors do you see? How are
the pieces of information arranged?

4. What materials were used in making the displays? Are borders used?
5. Do you notice some errors? (misspelled words, grammar inconsistencies and the
like)
6. Are the messages clear and easily understood?

Your Analysis

1. Did the board display design reflect the likes/interests of its target
audience? Why? or Why not?
Yes, the board display design reflect the likes/interests of its target
audience because of its design and meaning. Its attractable to those
students who played in their android games, to think that most of the
students played in their phone. And then their found out that the game that
they played was related in Mathematics.
2. Was the language used clear and simple for the target audience to
understand? Why? or Why not?
Yes, the language used clear and simple for the target audience to
understand. I think that they are aware to the level of understanding of the
students so they use simple English word in order to understand the message
by the students.
3. What do you think was the purpose of the board display? Was it
effective? Why? or Why not?
I think that the purpose of the board display is to realize that the
things around us was related to Mathematics and it is the one way to
realizing by the students the world of Mathematics.
4. What suggestions can you make?
My only suggestion is to make their bulletin durable.

Based on your suggestions, make your own board display la-out. You may
present your output through any of these:

A hand-made drawing or lay-out

An electronic (computer) drawing/illustration or la-out
A collage

My Board Display Lay-out

Your Reflections

1. Name at least 5 skills that a teacher should have to be able to come up

with effective board displays. Elaborate on why each skill is needed.
Creativity she must be able to come up with unique ways to portray
lessons or concepts.
Elegance she must strive for balance between vibrant and
conservative design so that message will be delivered properly.
Ingenuity she will be able to apply problem solving skills in coming up
with a display.
Resourcefulness she will be able to come up with an effective board
display using the available resource at hand.
Innovativeness she will be able to introduce contemporary topics to
her board display.(wikispaces.com)
2. Which of the skills do you already have? Recall your past experiences in
making board displays. How do you practice these skills?
From my experiences in making board displays, I think I already have
the skills of being creativity, elegance and being resourceful. I dont know
how do I practice those skills. I think its because by doing some simple art
when I feel bored.

3. Which skills do you still need to develop? Reflect on how you can improve
on or acquire these skills.
I think I need to improve my skills of being innovativeness and
ingenuity, I also think that I can improve that by practicing.

Your Analysis

1.

What do you think prompted the teacher to choose

the materials/learning resources that he/she used?
The thing that prompted the teacher to choose the
materials/learning resource in the lesson is the
motivation of the students in everyday teaching before
start the lesson. In order to encourage the students
interest.

2.

What difficulties, if any, did the teacher experience?

How can this be managed?
I think the only difficulties of the teacher is the
classroom management. The students didnt have respect
to their teacher and the teacher wasnt able do anything
to manage the students behaviour.

3.

Over-all, were the learning resources/materials used

effectively? Why? Why not?
Yes, the learning resources/materials used
effectively because I see that it encourage the students
participation and also interest.

Your Reflections
1.Put yourself on the place of the teacher. What would
you do similarly and what would you do differently if
you will teach the same lesson to the same group of
students? Why?

What would I do? I think I do the same way of

teaching. I like doing visual aids every day in order to
encourage the participation of the students. I love when
my students learn from me. I will use also lapel if I
imagine that I was the one who teach in front of the
class. The only thing that I would do differently is the
classroom management. I want that my students have
respect on me.

Your Analysis
Give at least three benefits of doing a survey of
available materials before making your own materials?
Explain each.

If I do a survey of available materials before

making my own. I can have the schedule so I can know
when that material is available. If its not available on
the day that I need, I can adjust early my schedule.
Second, I can early learn how to use it unlike that I will
use it and I didnt know how to use, so I can save time.
I can early know if that material is available or not so I
can found for backup or other materials that I can use.

Your Reflections
1. Which of the materials did you like making the most? Why?
On the materials, I like making the most is laptop and projector.
Because when you have done powerpoint and know how to use projector
and laptop, it is easy to use and much comfortable to use than the
others. Onother advantage is less time to prepared and the flow of the
lesson is mostly like what youve prepare.
2. What difficulties, if any, did you encounter in making the
materials? How did you overcome them?
The difficulties that I encounter when I am using laptop and
projector is when have technical problems. I overcome such problems
by knowing how to overcome such problem when I encounter that,
advantage also that I know how to fix some technical problems.
3. What tips can you give teachers regarding preparation of teaching
materials?
The tips that I give to the teachers regarding preparation of
teaching materials are they know first the availability of that material
so they have the schedule and they know when that material is
available. If its not available on the day that they need, they can

1. What are the good features of a hand-out?

The good feature of a hand-out is, it makes easier the lesson of
the teacher. And it encourage the participation of every student whos
looking at the hand outs and the students understand more when
having hand out than none. Another, it should include picyures, graph
and other illustrations related to the lesson.
2. Which of these features are present in the hand-out 1 made?
In the example that I made, I have already given the
differences or the meanings between radius, diameter and chord. It
also includes the diagram of the parts of a circle.
3. Which features are not present in the hand-out 1 made?
In the example, I made lack of definition about the parts of the
circle because I want that the students will derive ar define the
meaning of each part.

Your Reflections
1. What difficulties, if any, did you encounter in making the handouts? How did you overcome them?
The difficulties that I encounter when I am making the hand
outs is to think how can my hand out encourage the participation of
