1. What does community in Roots & Shoots mean to you?

To build your confidence

2. Do you have special events in your community?


Yes. We have special events during the summer and autumn.
The BBC and The Queen came to Roots & Shoots just
recently.
3. Have you collaborate with anyone from Lambeth?
We have worked with the Kennington Police Station in the
past but due to budget cuts, we had to drop some activities
to save money.
4. But is it successful despite money problems?
Yes. Roots & Shoots is successful as we are part of the
Lambeth community and the community provides and
support to extend the community so we can help kids with
their education.
5. Are there any problems with the community?

Lots of gang members


Not enough youth clubs
Not enough football pitches
Not enough Zumba classes

6. What is the best thing about being in Roots & Shoots?

Spending time with friends, teachers and activities


Likes all the classes like floristry, retail & functional
skills
Getting help with their courses

Having everyone as friends, having Nathan & Chris as a


comedy group and making me laugh.
Making lots of arrangements and being with friends
