Introduction

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can

use to change the world-Nelson Mandela

I think that if you want to be a good teacher, you must
know about your students learning process, and styles, this is
why they exist four different ways of learning:

Visual: eyes
Auditory: ears
Kinesthetic: hands ( touching method )
Tactile

But also in 1983, a smart man decide to create the

Multiple Intelligences and he established to fundamental
propositional theories 1) We are not stuck with the
intelligence level we are born with. 2) There are many ways
to be smart.
Students are smart not just in one or two ways, in many
ways, as I write, all students develop the diverse
intelligences, and we need to teach in many ways,
providing varied learning experiences for our students that
we will learn.

Learning Styles

Visual Learning Style

People, who are more visuals, prefer using colors, pictures,
and organizing information. You ca easily visualize objects,
plans and outcomes in your minds eye, they usually use
maps for study, so in that way the information topic would stay
in your brain.
So if you are a visual learner, you may study:

Architecture
Photography
Designer
Planning

Activities

Board games ( Like drawing what you would wear in

seasons)
Memory games
Vocabulary Flashcards ( with drawings)

Auditory Learning Style

There ear is really advanced, I mean they learn better by

listening; also this will help for the pronunciation of the
learners.
An auditory learner will say it out loud and then remember
how it sounded to recall it, some characteristics are:
Enjoy listen to music
Reads slowly
Cant keep quiet for longs periods.

Activities

Watch videos related with the topic.

Group discussions.
Oral recitation

DID YOU KNOW THAT?....

Only 30% of the general school-age population is auditory
learner. And that generally the auditory learner will remember
75% of what they hear in a lecture.

Kinesthetic Learning Style

The kinesthetic learner must do things for them to learn

better; also they use the whole body to express not only
her hands.
They remember what they do with her hands or bodies.
Characteristics of kinesthetic learners:
Enjoy using computers.
They are very creative
Tends to eat snacks while they are studying.

Activities

Puzzles
Body games
Puppets shows

Tactile Learning Style

Students with this learning style, use their motor skills to
handle and learn better the topics that the teacher had
gave.
Interesting (tactile learners may become bored more
quickly than other students while listening to a class
lecture.).
They students that are tactile learners, like to experience
the world, here some characteristics:
They study with music loud.
Takes breaks while they are studying.
Cant sit for too long.

Activities

Laboratory classes ( technology, something like IPad

classes)
Mobiles
Textured material.

I think that by us knowing this, we will be prepared for our

future classes, and this will improve our knowledge so in this
way we can help our students.

Multiple Intelligences
Verbal / Linguistic:
The students that are Word smart are able to use their own
words to express themselves, and they are good at: Reading
has a good vocabulary, tell stories, play with words.
In other words they learn best, by using language, they
develop information material, and recall speaken information,

Multiple Intelligences: a document that the teacher gave us.

As a teacher, it is important to know how we can help our

students to learn better, so in that way it would be easier to
understand the kids learning, and of course having a fun time
learning new topics, and hopefully the children will enjoy.
