Literature Connections
I had no idea where to begin the process of finding literature to go along with the Social Studies
Curriculum, so it was especially helpful to be directed to Learn Albertas Grade 2 Literature
Connections (http://www.learnalberta.ca/content/sslc/pdf/literatureconnections_gr02.pdf).
This resource is not current or exhaustive, but it was a great starting place. I did find Learn
Albertas list to be difficult to navigate and overwhelming. To remedy this, I have transferred
the list here and provided indexes alphabetized by authors last name, specific outcome, and
availability (as of March, 2016) at the University of Lethbridge Curriculum Labratory (U of L
CurrLab), Chinook Regional Library System (CRLS), and Jennie Emery Elementary School (JEES).
Many (if not all) of these books are also available from Amazon.ca for purchase.
