Measure of Central Tendency & Dispersion

Course Outcome: Identify and explain types of data based on description.


Demonstrate the ability to calculate and select appropriate measures of central tendency and
dispersion for a given set of data.
The topic that I will teach is measure of central tendency and dispersion. At the end of the lesson students will be able
to:
1. Determine the difference between the mean, median and mode.
2. Distinguish the difference between a sample data set and population data set.
3. Explain the meaning of what is meant by variance and standard deviation of a data set.
