Behaviors 1: Make ethical decisions by applying the standards of the NASW Code
of Ethics, relevant laws and regulations, models for ethical decision-making, ethical
conduct of research, and additional codes of ethics as appropriate to context.
First day completed training on HIPPA, when conducting intake interviews, follow
the code of ethics and keeping each patients information private between client and
care coordinator (myself) unless there was a reason that the care coordinator should
report any thing to the supervisor that they had concerns about.
How you present yourself, meaning the way you dress for an internship. How you
talk to your patients and to the staff members meaning not talking to them like they
are in the streets. As far as writing and electronic, you shouldnt be writing
someones else stuff down to talk about it to someone outside of the internship or
even being on facebook or any social media while at the internship.
Whatever technology you are using, wither its computers or phones, you shouldnt
be on them if it has nothing to do with the internship. You shouldnt be on the
phone while you with a patient during a interview or on the computer when you
have nothing to do, talking to people on social media about what you are doing at
your internship.
