Describe the instructional activities that will occur prior to the SRS activity and how you will
introduce the SRS activity: The students will complete a unit on the standard MKN1. Students will
connect numerals to the quantities they represent and the sub-standards that go with it. The students
will learn how to count a number of objects up to 30, find the number of objects in a set up to ten,
sequence ordinal numbers, and compare two sets of objects and identify which set is more than, less
than or equal to the other. This SRS activity will include the students answering questions based on
what they learned in the unit. The SRS activity will be introduced at the end of the unit as a practice for
the math test the students are going to take over the unit.

SRS activity will be anonymous
Briefly describe what will happen during the SRS activity. For the SRS activity, the students will use
their knowledge of what they learned during the unit lessons and answer the questions on the quiz. The
students will either get laptops or be in a computer lab. They will turn their computer, wait for it to load and
get on the internet. The students will go to the Kahoot It! website use a code given by the teacher to log into
the quiz that was created by the teacher. The quiz will consist of questions that relate to the Math unit that
was taught based on the standard: MKN1. Students will connect numerals to the quantities they
represent. This activity will have 8 questions and each question will take around 30 seconds to answer.
This means that the quiz should take no more than 5 minutes to take. After the students finish the quiz, the
teacher will go over the questions and the answers for the students. That way, the students who missed the

Provide samples of questions/prompts to be given to students:

Are these two sets of objects greater than, less than or equal to each other?
- Greater Than
- Less Than
- Equal To
Which number comes next in the sequence? 1st, 2nd, 3rd, _______
- 10th
- 4th
- 5th
- 8th
Right/Wrong Answers: Will there be right/wrong answers to these questions?
Mixed (Some will have correct answers, others will not.)

Yes

No

Immediate corrective feedback:

Will you pre-select correct answers to some or all of the questions and display correct response to the class
after the SRS activity?
Yes
No
Why or why not? Yes, I will go over what the correct answers to the problems are and explain why these
are the correct answers. This SRS activity will consist of the students answering the questions and then
having the teacher go over the answers as a review. I feel like going over the answers
Use of data: The data that will be collected as a result of this activity will be the grades that the students
received on the test. Also, data will include how many students missed each question and which questions
the students missed. This will show the teacher which topics for the unit test are the most understood by the
students and which ones are not understood at all by the students.
Describe what will occur after the SRS activity: After the SRS activity, I am going to go over the
answers to the quiz. I am going to go over the answers and why the answer is correct. This will help the
students who got some of the questions incorrect. This will be a review for the unit test that the students will
take the next day.
Describe your personal learning goal for this activity. I hope that the students do well on this review
activity. This will show me which students are prepared for the unit test and which students are not. For the
students who are not prepared for the test, the question and answer review will help. I will go over the
questions, the answers, and why the answer is what it is. This will help the students understand why the
answer is right and hopefully help prepare them to do the problems correctly on the unit test.
