It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Victoria
Ontiveros. As a senior at Sanger High School, Victoria has dedicated and committed
herself toward academic excellence. Victoria has proven that she is willing to take
rigorous courses offered at our high school. Victorias overall grade point average
stands at 3.952 (weighted). She has chosen to take a more challenging schedule
since her freshman year. Victorias has taken the following honors and AP courses:
English 9 Honors, World Literature Honors, AP English Language and AP US History.
This academic year she continues to take challenging courses offered her at Sanger
High School. Shes currently enrolled in AP English Literature and AP
Microeconomics. As Victorias counselor, I am delighted to know that one of her
most admirable characteristics is her determination and perseverance in striving for
academic excellence while involving herself in extra-curricular activities as a stellar
soccer player.
Victoria is strongly motivated to pursue a career in liberal studies. Through my
conversation with Victoria, I have become aware that she is highly passionate in
helping others achieve their goals, as a result she has prepared herself to the full
extent possible for a career in demanding yet rewarding field of teaching. It is for
this reason that I am confident that Victoria would succeed in the next level of higher
learning because her determination and exemplary qualities such as: a hard work
ethic, ambition, responsibility, and commitment to herself will propel her to achieve
her educational goals. I am proud to note that Victoria represents our high school
with honors and integrity.
I will like to also acknowledge that Victoria has participated in our extra-curricular
activities contributing to a positive school climate. She has been a member of our:
Girls Soccer Team (4 years), Swim Team (2 years), and California Scholarship
Federation (3 years). This year she actively became involved in Interact Club and
Hope Club both which main purpose is to serve and volunteer in various ways. She
has volunteered in school and community blood drives, canned food drives, and
Thanksgiving meals. Through these clubs and organizations Victoria has build her
leadership capacity and collaborative skills with others. As a resourceful high school
and future college student, I know Victoria possesses the skills to become successful
in her educational endeavors. Overall, Victoria has the determination and leadership
ability to persevere in challenging situations and I highly recommend her for
achievement.
