Hey Everybody!

This week has just been a WONDERFUL week! We have seen the Lord's tender mercies poured out
upon us! So blessed for all we have been given! Hermana Gamez continues to teach me more than I am
teaching her. I have loved the opportunity to do 12-week and practice certain teaching points as a
missionary that I have rarely used in my time as a missonary. She is working hard with a humble heart to
serve the Lord. So grateful for an AWESOME Ward Mission Leader, who is aware of those we are
teaching and is more than willing to come out with us! What a WONDERFUL blessing that is! We feel that
we will start seeing little bits of progress in the missionary work with the ward!

Pilar:
Unfortunately, she was not home when we went to visit her, so we will be contacting her for another
appointment.
Mari and Ever:
Had a wonderful last half of The Restoration lesson. Please continue to pray for Ever. He is making good
progress, but needs a little extra umph to his step! They testified to us of how Jesus Christ has been changing
their lives by the miracles that have been taking place! I love them so much and I am so proud of them!
Marisa:
She was able to come to our special stake conference session yesterday, but she is doing wonderful. We
taught her the plan of Salvation this past week and she loved how the temple is incorporated into this great
plan of happiness. She has such a beautiful, faith-filled Spirit.
Familia Lopez:
Unfortunately. they were not home for our appointment on Thursday, but we have another appointment set for
today at 7pm. We are going to get them on a baptismal date! How EXCITING!
Vero:
She, with her two daughters, Haily and Gia, came to the special session of Stake Conference, and sat with us. I
am so happy to see them starting to come to church more consistently. Baby steps.
Chuy and Robin:
Have not been able to catch them this week! So much potential with them, but if we cannot get ahold of them it
becomes a little more difficult.
Familia Perez:
We found this beautiful family off of a ward map, and we will be teaching them the Message of the Restoration
this week. The mom has a faith-filled heart just like Marisa.
Another accomplishment is that the Lord blessed my companion and I with double the lessons from last week.
This Christmas initiative really is giving us the great opportunity of getting into people's homes because of how
much more open their hearts are for this time of year.
Hermana Gamez and I had the privilege of attending a special Stake Conference with our stake and the new
apostle, Ronald A. Rasband. Is it sad that I was about as EXCITED to see him as I was to see President and
Sister Killpack? What a joy it ALWAYS is to see them! Here are a few notes from Elder Rasband. His talk was a
short a brief version of his talk that he gave in October 2000, when he was called to serve in the First Quorum
of the Seventy, "One-By-One."
- We do not always know the future impact of our service.
- Missionaries are not just successful in baptisms but also in bringing souls back to Christ
- 3 Nephi 11 (described to us how the Savior loved each of the 2,500 souls one-by-one)
- If He was here, He would want everyone to know the He is the living Christ. He would gather around him all
the little children and bless them. He would heal all those with any infirmity. He would have let each of us come
up and touch His hands, feet and side.

- This is the Savior that we can come to know

I testify that Elder Ronald A. Rasband has been called of God to serve as a special witness of the Savior to all
the world. I know that He LOVES his Savior, Jesus Christ. As I shook His hand, I saw the love he had for me,
as the Savior would show to me. Sister Rasband was so darling and she is a truly incredible help-meet to her
husband. It was wonderful to be able to chat with them for a moment. I know that my Savior lives and that as I
learn to use His Atonement more fully in my life I can continue to transform and change.
