Obejective: To encourage people to acquire more knowledge
Process: Creating a logo with Illustrator was a great learning
experience for me. After learning the processes in this program things
became easier. I started by thinking of which company I will create this
logo for. I decided on a company that the acquisition of knowledge. I
then started to draw out different sketches for the message I wanted
to convey. I wanted something simple but eye catching. I created
different logos that I liked. I took the logos I had designed and asked
about twenty people to choose which appealed to them the most and
about 90% of them chose my final design. I fine tuned it by thinning
out the lines to make the words stand out a little more.

Obejective: To create a promotional flier using InDesign
Process: First, I created sketches of my layout and used
the sketches as a guideline to create my layout in Adobe
in design. I emphasized the words in the title to create a
good focal point. I also emphasized the question in the
content to the draw the attention of my audience to the
message and to also help peak their interest in the event.
I also used shape to help guide my placement of words
and pictures to make effective use of white space. I was
provided with the image, logo and content for this flier.

Photodesign
Description: To demonstrate good photo design and
photo editing skills. Incorporating color skills in the layout.

Programs: Adobe Photoshop

Obejective: To create a full bleed edited photo in
Photoshop.
Process: I first selected a color Scheme for my layout. I
captured several photos incorporating the color scheme
I chose until I captured one that fit perfectly with the
design I wanted. I came back and picked the best photo
which I used for my poster. I used Photoshop to add
design elements like sharpness, levels, selective color,
vibrance and saturation. I did this by using an 8.5 by
11 layout. I incorporated my title, into my design. I am
pleased with the end result of my project.

Montage
Description: An inspirational Poster about prayer by using
photo montage in Photoshop

Obejective: To create an insprational Photo montage.
Process: I used Photoshop to merge two pictures together
to create a montage. I merged the pictures together by
using my lasso tool to draw a circle around my photo and
cutting out the part I needed to blend into my picture. Then
I made sure that my feather was set to a 100px to make
for a seamless blend. I also layered the second picture after
fading it out to create a feeling of oneness with the girl in
the picture and her environment which could be interpreted
as oneness with Father in Heaven as we pray.

Event Ad
Description: A color full-bleed event ad to promote a
fundraiser using only Microsoft Word and a scanner.

Obejective: To create a full bleed color event ad.
Process: I scanned the children, and then used a Word
image effect to delete parts of the background. I
placed my scanned image in the middle of the page
and put boxes on the top and bottom with two colors
that complement each other. I used black for the top
and blue for the bottom box to bring attention to
the logo in the middle of the picture and to create a
beautiful contrast. Programs I used: Microsoft Word,
Epson Scanner, PDF2JPG.net (PDF converter).

Web Page
Description: A web page designed to show a personally
designed logo.

Programs: Adobe Photoshop, Text Wrangler (css and Html)

Obejective: To display a personally created logo
Process: I marked up all my content and inserted my image.
I then attached a pre-made CSS document to my HTML.
I used the colors from my logo as the colors for my web
page. I found the color codes by opening Photoshop and
using the eyedropper tool. I also changed my fonts to Times
New Roman and Verdana. I also tried Copperplate Gothic so
that my fonts blended well together. I add some backup
fonts just in case the viewers browser didnt have the fonts
I chose. My favorite part of doing this project was working
with CSS.

Obejective: To inform people about tourist
attractions in Ghana.

Process: I first created my logo In Illustrator. I then

created my brochure in InDesign. I sketch out a few
ideas. I found a few good ideas that i liked. I chose
to make a flier about tourist sites in Ghana. I chose
pictures of three tourist sites in Ghana and decide
to use the Ghana flag for the front and back of the
brochure. I decide to slightly offset two of my
pictures and create a gate opening with the black
star in the middle.

Obejective: To create an apealing letter head for a company.
Process: I sketched out a few ideas and asked for critiques until
I found one that I liked. I then used Adobe Illustrator to create
my logo. I used different shapes to create my hanger. After, I
went into In-Design and with the logo I created my letter head
and business cards. I used lines and different colors to create
contrast. I also created a water mark by reducing the opacity of
my copied logo and placing it slanted in the middle of my page.
