Description: An uplifting poster for the Young
Womens program for the LDS church.

Process: After selecting my theme, I chose a picture

of a group of girls that can represent the diversity of

the church. I then chose the medallion because that is
what the young women receive after completing their
project of working on those attributes. I then used
Adobe photoshop to combine my pictures. I started
with my background and lowered the vibrancy a little. I
then placed the other pictures. After, I brightened up the
picture of the girls and added more vibrance to the red
hair. To blend the pictures in with the background I used
the brush tool with varying levels of opacity. For the
typography I used drop shadows and a bit of inner glow
to help them stand out more.

Objectives: To inspire the young women to work

toward acquiring these attributes of Christ.

Logos
Description: This is a logo for a book publishing
company.

Process: I used Adobe Illustrator to create my

designs. I played around with many different

types of book shapes. Until decided that I wanted
the book to be open and having it face the
audience. I also really wanted the earth to be
apart of it so I used it as the background. After
picking the main designs I used the point pen to
draw out the image I wanted. I then used that
again to create a line on which the title would go
on.

Objectives: To show that Worldwide Books is

a company for everyone and it publishes books
from and into many different languages.

Flier
Description: Black and white promotional flier
for a graduate leadership conference.

Process: I brainstormed some ideas based on my

audience and the message I wanted to convey. I
then sketched four main designs to be able to
design effectively in Adobe In Design. I created
small squares and rectangular boxes to frame the
title box. After I aligned all the boxes and used
proportional spacing. I continued this theme
throughout the design. I left white space at the
top of picture and the bottom of my design. The
image, logo, and content was given to me.

Objectives: To attract recent graduates

interested in becoming strong leaders and to

motivate them to go to this leadership
conference.

Web Page
Description: This is a web page made for the
SalchiPapas restaurant.

Process: I had already created the logo in

InDesign and then I added it to my html code. I

wrote all the words and basic codes in html using
the TextWrangler program. I also used a css to add
the colors, typography and opacity into my
design. I added the background of Machu Picchu
to give it that ultimate Peru feel. I wanted to keep
it simple.

Objectives: To show people that my logo is for a

Peruvian Restaurant.

Event Ad
Description: This is an Event Ad to promote a
book drive at Lincoln Elementary School.

Process: I scanned the image of the girl and

then used Microsoft Word to create this Ad. I

decided to put the whole image as my
background. I chose the decorative font
Chalkduster because I felt it fit with the school
theme of my Ad. I aligned all of my top body copy
with the letter B in Book. Then I decided to align
the bottom body copy with the slant in the Book
the girl is reading. I worked very hard to get the
right alignment for all of my Ad. The original image had the numbers already in place so I decided
to keep it as it also went with the theme.

Objectives: To invite people to donate books or

money to The Lincoln Elementary School.

Programs: Microsoft Word 2011,

Epson
Scanner, PDF2JPG.Net
(PDF Converter).

Imaging
Description: This is a photo design project for
Black History Month.

Process: I created this using photoshop. I took

the picture using inside lighting and a lead in. I

then edited the saturation and vibrance of the
picture. I then decided to crop the picture and use
a different backdrop. After I added the words and
used a outer light to help it stand out more.

Objectives: To create a emotion evoking flier

Description: Letterhead for the Peruvian

Process: I used Adobe Ilustrator to make my

logo. I then created a Letterhead template on

Adobe InDesign. I placed the logo on both and
made it a center point. I used the basic watermark of the mountains on the Letterhead I tried
to incorporate the colors of Peru into the design
so that it would attract peoples attention more. I
used a variation of the colors in my logo
throughout my Letterhead.

Brochure
Description: I created an Offset Brochure for
the Peruvain Restaurant Salchipapas.

Process: In InDesign I used lines to form where I

would want my folds to be. On the outside of my

brochure I wanted to show the name of the
company and what our sign would look like on
the outside of the restaurant. I then added a
picture of a restaurant to show what the
restaurant would look like. I then placed pictures
into my design to show some of the different
types of food. I also added a text wrap around the
picture of Machu Picchu.

Objectives: I wanted to create something

visually pleasing to people and who would see

how exotic and delicious Peruvian food could be.
