Montage

Description: Inspirational Poster with Quote


Programs: Adobe Photoshop
Date: 4/2/2016
Course & Section: Visual Media Section 5
Instructor: Ben Pingel
Objectives: To Inspire people to come to Jesus Christ in times
of trial.
Process: Everything was done in Photoshop. I edited the
Levels, brightness, and colors of the picture. I also cropped
and resized the picture and merged the second picture of the
tear drops onto the first picture. I found a quote and matched
two fonts together. I also added a rectangle to the quote.

Brochure

Description: A travel brochure


Programs: Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop

Instructor: Ben Pingel
Objectives: Get people excited to visit Germany.
Process: Sketched out the brochure design. Mapped and
mesured everything out in Indesign. Placed Photos and text in
Indesign. In Illustrator I created an original logo. In photoshop
I edited the pictures and removed the background of one. In
Indesign I shaped teh body copy aorund the picture.

Objectives: To encourage a younger generation to read.
Process: First I took the picture of the books and put it in Photoshop.
While in Photoshop I edited the levels, sharpness, saturation, and
color balance. I wanted a simple design so I made rectangles, using
the rectangle tool. Then I used the eye dropper tool to change the
color the rectangles to the colors in the pictures. This along with the
picture makes up my 8.5 x 11 layout.

Logos

Objectives: To appeal to the nature-loving folks.
Process: In adobe Illustrator i hand traced the picture of the
wolf using the draw tool. then i used the line and the curved
line tool to create the half circle beneath. matched the
colors to a solid color scheme and found good type to go with the
overall theme.

Letterhead

Description: A business letterhead to match business cards

Objectives: To create a logo for the letterhead
Process: I created the logo in Illustrator to match the Business cards. I relied heavily on the polygon tool. then i added a
line between the type and the actual logo to make it simple,
matching, but also different.

Business Card

Objectives: To show professionalism on a card
Process: First I made the logo using many Polygons with the
polygon tool in Illustrator. Then i matched everything to a color
scheme. In Indesign i added the type and made the
background black.

Objectives: to show off my logo design
Process: I had to learn a lot about css and html. I used
photoshop to get the colors to match by using the eyedropped
tool and actually recording the color hexes. I used Notepad++ to
edit my css and html programs.

Flier

Description: A flier for a conference.

Objectives: To appeal to a business like audience.
Process: First time using Adobe Indesign. first i sketched out
four different ideas. then i went into Indesign and used the
rectangle tool to make all the rectangles and the squares. this
was also my first experience in working with typography. I
tried to keep this pretty simple.

Event Ad

Description: A colored ad for a local event

Objectives: For people to feel invited to a fun, chrity event.
Process: First i scanned an original image. Then in Microsoft
Word addes a colored background. I used the trapezoid shape
builder to create the rays to draw the eye. Then I made
everything match the color scheme.
