What is a hazard?
A Source or A situation
with a potential for harm in terms of
injury or ill health, damage to property
e.g.fall of material from height on a person

EMPLOYEE RELATED HAZARD


Slips/falls on the level
Falls of person form heights
Fall to tools , materials, etc, from heights
Inadequate head room
Work related upper limb disorders
resulting from frequently repeated tasks
Slippery, uneven ground/surfaces

What is a risk?
Combination of the Consequences &
Likelihood of an hazardous event.

Incident :- Any happening which may be

a near miss or an accident.


Accident :- Mishaps causing immediate
attention and toll.

Emergency
Any unwanted, unexpected, unplanned
happening causing immediate attention and
action.
Damages to life severely.
Eg. Fire, major falls, earthquake, cloud
burst, political emergency, etc
Note down all associated emergencies.

Preparedness
Be prepared for such emergencies.
Note down the action plan to mitigate it.
Check it periodically.
Mock drills will provide testing
mechanism for the preparedness
