Reality Check
The cost for my future life style is defiantly not that expensive; My total expense is
$3498. I am planning on going to college and moving into an off campus apartment with my
friend. We dont really go out that much so food wouldnt be that much and entertainment wont
be very much. The most expensive thing we will have is a beaten up truck and a ton of animals.
By a ton of animals I mean two dogs, three-ish cats, my turtle, and any other pet we get along the
way. Even though its a lot we would be splitting all the bills and costs in half.
A career that would support this life style is an editor. It pays about $22 dollars an hour in
Utah and about $45,460 annually. This career requires a bachelor degree and a high school
diploma / GED. You must be familiar with proper grammar in the English language (or what ever
language you are working under) and knowledge in communication. Both of those will come in
handy during this line of work. Editors can work for things from magazine companies to book
publishers.
Another career that would support this life style is a film and video editor. It pays about
$20 hourly and $39,670 annually. This requires a bachelor degree and a high school diploma/
GED. This requires knowledge in video editing softwares, copy right terms, and being good at
working with others. All of those would be useful during the job. Film editors are used a lot in
films, but are usually hired in bunches.
