Rights For Fellow Animals
For many centuries, animals have been treated poorly and have been shown no empathy
or mercy. Many people argue whether or not animals need a bill of rights to ensure their safety
and make sure they feel accepted in the world. On one hand people would like animals to have a
bill of rights and on the other hand people do not want to face the consequences that will
conclude giving animals a bill of rights. Even though there will be economic consequences,
animals should have a bill of rights. Three key rights on why animals should have a bill of rights
include: the right to be free from abuse, the right of animals to not be used as lab experiments,
and last but not least the right of wildlife to a natural habitat and self-sustaining population.
Animal abuse is one of the biggest concerns in this argument about whether or not
animals should have a bill of rights. animal abuse is cruel and unnecessary and should not be
tolerated. Animals have feelings just like humans, for example Lois Frazier says anyone who
has owned a pet knows that animals can feel pain, happiness, anger, and other simple emotions.
Animals feel pain just like a human does, for example a dog that gets beat will feel the same pain
that a human who gets beat feels. in the end animals should not be abused and they should have a
right stating and emphasizing the importance of being able be abuse-free and pain-free.
Most americans would not guess that animals are used for experiments and they use live
specimens of these animals testing drugs on them to see how they react to the drugs. On the
contrary using animals as lab experiments is disgusting and immoral and basically it is along the

same lines as just killing the animal or ruining its life. We need to show some empathy for
animals and help them however people use poor animals as lab pets which is totally disrespectful
in comparison with what Lois Frazier says when will more people begin to realize we share
this world with many creatures deserving our care and respect?. In other words, be moral, be
respectful and considerate and keep in mind that animals have feelings and they can feel pain just
like humans feel pain.
A lot of animals are relocated every year because of deforestations, and other factors.
Equally important animals should have a self-sustained population and should not be controlled
and how many there is of each species. For instance a way that we manage population of animals
is hunting. Hence the phrase endangered species is being heard a lot more often due to animals
homes being cut down or the animals being hunted. However there has been acts and laws
regarding this issue, in fact as a result of the Endangered species act of 1973 says protect
critically imperiled species and their habitats and provides varying degrees of penalties for their
capture, injury, or destruction. In contrast all animals should be endangered species and they
should all have the right to not be hunted, or relocated and especially not killed for sport. It is
painful and heartbreaking to see so many animals go through what humans do to them.
Animals should have a bill of rights or at least someone representing them no matter the
economic consequences because sooner or later the animals will retaliate. We need the animal
kingdom to thrive because they are a big part in our lives and they keep the world spinning and
alive. People should show more empathy to animals and should really concentrate on how to be
the best they can be and how they can help animals feel accepted and loved. Humans have
feelings and animals have feelings, so instead of hurting animals feelings, lets respect them and
share our feelings with them and show them what being respectful and caring really means.
