Consider the influence of public policy on men and women's

health; what is the role of community health in meeting the
health needs of men and women? Additionally, do you think the
health needs of men and women are being met? Address both
questions and defend your answers.
To achieve health for all in the twenty-first century, health care
services must be affordable and available to all (Nies & McEwen,
2011). The Affordable Health Care Act played a key in assisting the
health needs of men and women with affordable insurance with assess
to preventative care. However, the community health nurse play an
important role of educating the men and women in the community on
what types of screenings and preventative cares that is specific to their
gender. The community nurse also able to provide the men and
women option for affordable health care available such as Medicaid,
and Medicare. Last but not least, I believe the community health care
nurse should educate the men and women in the community about the
important of self-care with healthier choice of foods and regular
exercise.
In my opinion, even though there is health fair provide by the hospital
in the valley from time to time with preventative screening for both
men and women, however, I believe that there are more health care
promotion and access for women more than men in the valley. There
are more women who seek heath care provider mainly for their
prenatal and gynecology care. Men are more risk taker and not willing
to seek preventative care or health care when symptom exists.
Therefore there is a higher rate in mortality in men compare to women
who has a higher morbidity rate. I believe that there need to be more
health promotion that concentrates specific on mens health such as
billboard and information on Prostate Cancer.
