seized drugs; effects of drugs; proper collection, packaging, and submission of
different types of forensic evidence; and laboratory analysis of different types of
forensic evidence. Served as a representative for the field of forensic science at
multiple career fair-type events and community expositions such as the Upward
Bound Career Day at the University of Nevada, Reno; Jessie Beck Elementary
School Science Fair; local community expositions; Incline High School Career Day;
Boy Scout expositions; Piedmont High School Career Day; and Kiwanis Club
meetings. Spokesperson and interviewee in different news stories including live
broadcasts and educational programs such as Real Science by KTEH Television.
Taught and trained new employees and interns. Provided expert testimony in courts
of law to explain scientific findings to jurors, at hearings during the Nevada
Legislative Session, and at Nevada State Board of Pharmacy meetings.
