1st Field Experience Activity/Time

Date(s)

PSC/ISTE Standard(s)

Total time: 5 hours

I created a website using the multimedia and design skill, hand
coding. I had a very difficult time completing this skills assignment
and had to repeat the process numerous time before I was successful.
Prior to this experience, I did not know what hand coding was, and
had not used Notepad. I watched several YouTube videos and
tutorials to learn about the hand-coding process.

2. How did this learning relate to the

knowledge (what must you know),
skills (what must you be able to do)
and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs,
enthusiasm) required of a technology
facilitator or technology leader?
(Refer to the standards you selected in
Part I. Use the language of the PSC
standards in your answer and reflect
on all 3knowledge, skills, and
dispositions.)
Knowledge- I can design websites using
hand coding. Throughout this experience
I had to trouble shoot to figure out how
to do certain things. I watched YouTube
videos and read articles about how to
hand code websites. My actions aligned
with professional learning that aligns to
state and national professional learning

standards, integrates technology to

support face to face and online
components, models principles of adult
learning and promotes best practice in
teaching, learning and assessment
Skills- I can utilize digital
communication and collaboration tools
to communicate locally and globally
with students, parents, peers, and the
larger community.
Dispositions I can regularly evaluate
and reflect on my professional practice
and dispositions to improve and
strengthen my ability to effectively
model and facilitate technology
enhanced learning experiences
3. Describe how this field experience
impacted school improvement, faculty
development or student learning at
your school. How can the impact be
assessed?
The field experience that I recently
completed could impact student
improvement at the Carrollton City
Schools in several ways. I can use my
newly acquired skills to teach students
and staff members how to hand code. I
also know how to use the internet as a
tool that can help troubleshoot issues I
have with technology.
