HYPOTHESIS:

ControlGroup:Addonlywater(10ml),useawhitelight,andahighlightintensity.
Hypothesis1:IfIaddclubsoda(10ml)tothesweetpea,useawhitelight,anduseahigh
lightintensity,thenitwillgrowfasterbecauseitcontainsphosphateandothernutrients
thatenrichthesoilandpromotegrowth.
Hypothesis2:IfIaddcoffeegrounds(tbsp)(andaddwater),useawhitelight,and
useahighlightintensity,thenthesweetpeawillgrowfasterbecauseoftheircaffeine,
thegroundsarerichinnitrogen,andstudiesshowedthatcoffeehelpsplantsgrow
faster.
Hypothesis3:IfIaddtea(10ml)tothesweetpea,useawhitelight,anduseahighlight
intensity,thenitwillgrowfasterbecauseithasingredientsthathelptheplantwith
growth.

andplant3.Plant3grewthemostandstayedbiggeruntiltheend(3/14/16).Thecontrol
plantandplant2didnotgrowatall.

Myvariablesforthisexperimentwerecoffee,tea,andclubsoda.Plant1washadthe
clubsodavariable,plant2hadthecoffeegroundvariable,andplant3hadthetea
variable.Thecontrolgroupwasjustwater.Ididn'tuseanythinginthecontrolexcept
water.

CONCLUSION:

Inthisexperiment,Iuse3differentvariablestotrytogrowaSweetpeaplant.Iusedthe
sameconditions(lightintensity,lightcolor,temperature,CO
concentration)but

changedthewateringvariable.IusedTea,Coffeegrounds&water,ClubSoda,and
waterforthecontrolgroup.Inoticedthatthecoffeegroundplantdidntgrowatall,
whichididn'texpect.Ialsothoughtthatthecontrolwouldgrowalittle.TheclaimsthatI
gotabouthelpingthegrowthdidn'thelp.Ilearnedalotfromthesimulationthatmade
meusecertainvariables/conditions.FromthislabIlearnedthatonevariableorchange
ofamaterialscanaffectthegrowthofthewholeplant.Ithinkthatthiswaskindofafair
experiment.Peoplecouldvemessedwithyourplantwithoutyouknowing,though.I
thinkthatmaybetheseedsgottakenoutofmyplantbecausethedirtwaskindof
messedupand2ofmyplantdidnotgrowatall,sothatiskindofunfairbecauseyou
don'tgettolearnifthosevariableshelpwell.Ifyouweregrowingacommunitygarden
orapersonalgardenandyouneededyourplantstogrowfastsoyoucouldusethem,
thiswouldhelpyoulearnhowtogrowthemquicker.
