Assessing my own teaching & receiving assessments from my mentor and University Supervisor.

Games Department Area Supervisor
Creates schedules for 300+ associates, answers calls directed towards the Game Department from parents, schools,
and associates, organizes all paperwork and online information for the Games Department in regards to associates,
productivity, discipline, etc.
Organizes all activities, training, and challenges for associates to increase their skill level in the Games Department and
to create the atmosphere of a team environment in the work place.
Gained immense leadership and mentor skills when getting the opportunity to work with hundreds of hardworking
employees.
Interviews and hires, and trains new associates. Disciplines, trains, and keeps track of performance of all associates.
As a certified trainer, holds responsibilities for teaching and fully equipping associates for their job duties.
Responsible for how time is spent in the work place. Decisions are made from knowledge and experience and with
certain skills including time management, professionalism, responsibility, and integrity.
Organizes and holds responsibility for large sums of money ($600-$3000 daily) and serves thousands of guests
outdoors at Kings Islands game establishments (with enthusiasm!) throughout entire shift.
Serves guests by handling complaints. Consults and resolves guest problems on a daily basis. Works with each guest
and handles their requests and all assignments as a professional supervisor.

Communicates with parents and families of associates on a regular basis to ensure a successful experience.
Collaborates with nine partners and 35+ other members of management in the Games Department. Works as a team on
a daily basis in order to keep the Games Department running smoothly. Accepts other responsibilities beyond immediate
job description in order to satisfy the position of a supervisor and to help all team members when called upon.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Bearcat Buddies, University of Cincinnati
Spring 2012 Fall 2014
Tutors for an hour each week at a variety of Cincinnati Public Schools led by the Center for Community Engagement
Director, Fran Larkin.
Tutoring ranges from first graders to fifth graders at Ethel M. Taylor Academy and Hays-Porter Elementary in reading.
Works with one to five students each visit, aiding in homework while also taking time with each individual student to read a
story aloud and draw conclusions from the story. Improves critical thinking and enhances the productivity of the students
when asked to answer questions on paper. Each student has shown clear improvement from the beginning of each
semester to the end.
Partnering with a child gives them a mentor and friend to look up to as a role model to continue school and to continue
working hard, even with faced with adversity. Growing close to a child and watching the growth in that childs student
achievement has made the dream of teaching become a reality.
Ronald McDonald House (NC4K member)
Spring 2013
NC4K is an organization that raises money for childhood cancer.
Cooked and served meals for the local Ronald McDonald House. One of the first experiences that showed a clear
experience of helping people; watching the meals being enjoyed and appreciated was a turning point in community
service career.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES & ORGANIZATIONS
Kappa Delta Pi
Spring 2013 Present
Professional international honors society for outstanding teachers and teaching candidates. Creates a community for
teachers to flourish together in the common goal of education. Provides resources for teachers and allows teachers to
share resources. Supports classrooms in need.
National Council of Teachers of English
Spring 2013 Present
Professional alliance of teachers with a desire to improve the instruction of English and Language Arts. From their
website, their mission states: The Council promotes the development of literacy, the use of language to construct
personal and public worlds and to achieve full participation in society, through the learning and teaching of English and the
related arts and sciences of language.
UC Cabaret Singers
Fall 2013 Spring 2013
Select group of singers chosen from UC mens and womens choruses. Rehearse 3 hours a week and set up individual
concerts separate from those already set by CCM.
Upholds stronger principles of professionalism and responsibility. Extreme focus and hard work determine the success
of each concert, making each individual responsible for the overall outcome of the work put into the group.
UC Womens Chorus
Spring 2012 Spring 2013
Sang in a group of 50+ women at the University of Cincinnati. Performs 5 concerts with 3 hours of rehearsal per week
each semester.
Gained valuable relationships with other who bond over music and the performance as a musical group. Built a familylike atmosphere and created responsibility to uphold values and respect throughout the group.
