Detail Of Circle Adjustment

(10) Adjust twelve setscrews in order to achieve the correct clearance between the circle (18) and the
pinion (17).
Dimension (C) . . . 60.5 + 2.5 - 0.5 mm (2.38 + 0.10 - 0.02 inch)
(11) Torque for twelve nuts . . . 570 80 Nm (420 60 lb ft)
Note: Hold setscrews (10) when you are tightening nuts (11).
(12) Thickness of 6G-4642 Shim . . . 0.8 mm (0.03 inch)
(13) Thickness of 6G-4643 Shim . . . 0.25 mm (0.010 inch)
As required, use shims (12) and (13) in order to achieve the following maximum clearance.
Dimension (B) . . . 0.5 mm (0.02 inch)
Note: The circle must be able to rotate all the way around without causing the circle drive motor to
stall at 13800 kPa (2000 psi).
With the circle in contact with the front shoes, adjust the setscrews (10) on the side and rear shoes in
order to achieve the following maximum clearance.
Dimension (A) . . . 0.8 mm (0.03 inch)
Note: Hold the setscrews (10) when you are tightening the nuts (11).
(14) Torque for ten nuts . . . 720 55 Nm (530 40 lb ft)
(15) Torque for eight bolts . . . 720 55 Nm (530 40 lb ft)
(16) Torque for two bolts . . . 720 55 Nm (530 40 lb ft)
