SUGGESTED READING LIST

CLASS I- 2014
This is an indicative list. It is a good idea to start with a book in an area in which your child is
interested. Books with predictable plots are often enjoyed, as the children enjoy being "right"! Silly
stories like tall tales and Dr. Seuss nonsense are a big hit. Discussing the illustrations helps the child
look for context clues. Continue including "how" and "why" information books in your reading.
