equivalenciesforliquidvolumeandusetheskillsofconvertingupanddowntheunitslearnedin
previouslessonsforlengthandweight/mass.

equivalencies,andconversionallatonce,allwhilehavingfunplayinginthewater!

DIRECTIONS:Someofyoumayalreadyknowwhichiswhich,butfordiscoverypurposes,we
willcallthissmallcontainer(JARA),thenextsmallestcontainer(JarB),thenextbiggest(JarC)
andthelargest(JarD).

Gothroughthesheettofindtheequivalentmeasurements,pouringintothemeasurement
containerscarefullywithafunnel.Besureeachmemberofyourgroupgetstheopportunityto
pouratleastonce.

Whenyouaredone:
Haveabout5differentcontainersonthesinkcounter,eachalmostfilledwithadifferentcolor
water.
AteamwouldbringittotheirtableandfirstmakeanestimateinUSCofhowmuchwateris
there.
Thentheycanusethefunnels,smallercontainers,etc.topourthewateroutintomeasuring
containerswehaveandfindtheexactamount.
Whentheyhaverecordedtheexactamountonthebackoftheirlabsheet,theypourthecolored
waterbackintotheoriginalcontainerandreturnittothecounter.
Thentheygogetanotherandrepeat.

CleanupProcess:
Onememberfromeachgroupneedstopouralltheclearwaterbackintothelargebuckets.
Onememberofeachgroupshouldreturnthecontainers(5totalfromtheset)backintothe
box.
OnemembershouldcollectthelabsheetsandputtheminDrawer4.

Onemembershouldwipeexcesswaterupwithatowel.
