to 13.)
Personal Aims (What do YOU need to work on in order grow
professionally?)

To achieve in classroom management.

To arrive the information to the children in the right way they can understand
it.
Create learner-centered lesson and class.

Learning Outcomes:
(Link to the MOE curriculum document)
Students will be able to (Write
the outcome word for word)
Recognize numbers while
writing it (10, 11, 12, 13).
Write the number from 10 to
13 or more.
Differentiate between
numbers 10, 11, 12, 13.

Materials

PowerPoint to demonstrate
the story (technology).
Activities in four different
levels.
Materials of each activity,
worksheets, glue, yarns or
threads.

Lesson Introduction
Whole group activity: Time: 8:25 am Question (Blooms Taxonomy)
Opening/Introduction: (Bullet
points)
What will you do to introduce the
concept to the students?
I will engage them by asking
to write to me the number
they did not take it, like "can
you write in my white board
number 16?"
If few of them write in the
correct way, I will continue by

Remembering (low level):

Remember numbers from 10 to 12.
For example, ask them can you write
number 11?
Understanding (low level):
Understand the numbers from 10 to 19
as one family, brothers like the story and
give them a simple activity to introduce
to them the idea of writing numbers
from 10 to 13 also make sure of it:

telling them I will tell you a

story.

by asking them can how to write number

13?

More engage: I will tell them a

story about number 10 and his
5 brothers because I noticed that
children have difficulties during
watching them doing numbers,
mathematical activities. Most of
the time could not write 11,12,13
numbers. They could not
remember it or cannot distinguish
between that, so I planned to use
simple, funny story to help them
learn these numbers and able to
write from 10 to 13 or more
by connecting it with the simple
thing that helps them in their
mental thinking.

Applying (low level):

They will apply writing or create the
number with me through the basic
activity.
Ask question: how we can write number
12?
Analyzing (high level):
They will analyze, decompose the
numbers through the activity where they
make 10, 11, 12, 13 numbers.

Exploring: they will explore how to

write together numbers 10, 11, 12
and 13.
By making three groups after I
show them how to write then, they
will explore it by themselves by
telling to write this specific number.
Active Engagement: (Bullet points)
After youve modeled the concept, what
activity will you have the students
perform while on the carpet to ensure
that they understand it?
I will give them number 10 and a
random group of numbers from (1
to 3). I will ask each group to
create a number that been take it
before, using the materials or the
numbers they have, for example,
make number 12. They will use
number 1 and 2 to create number
12.

Evaluating (high level):

Making judge, explain, tell me about
other how they create or make the
numbers by judging or support them or
saying wrong or right.

Creating (high level):

They may understand the idea that we
write number 10 and but any number
instead of the zero, so they will be able
to develop more than others, create
another number than the 13, 12, 11 or
10.

Remind the students in kid-friendly
language how they can apply what they
did the whole group in their independent
learning centers
I will tell them it is time for
activities. I will show, explain to
them the activities and give them
to do and apply what we have in it
independently.

number.

Small Group Learning Centers: Time: 8:35 am

Learning Center 1 Title: Stamp The
Monster

Learning Center 2 Title: Where Are

The Numbers?

Explain step by step what the students

will do
Activity for low level:
Give a sheet has a monster needs
spots in his body and a label for a
number. They will put, count the
spots on the monster body
according to the label.

Explain step by step what the students

will do

Learning Center 3 Title: Glue The

Monster
Explain step by step what the students
will do

Learning Center 4 Title: Match The

Monsters
Explain step by step what the students
will do

They will find numbers 10, 11, 12,

13 in big monster and defend it by
a specific shape to each number
like a circle for number 10, square
for number 11, the rectangle for
number 12 and triangle for
number 13.

Activity for mid- high level:

They will have one monster for each
student and they will count it's strips in
their body, and then they will stick the
monster and match it with the right
number.

They will count the eyes of each

monster, and they will match, stick each
monster with the right number in a
piece of thread.

Closing activity: Time: 8:45 am

Allow children time to discuss how what they did during their learning centers and
how it relates to the lesson outcome
"Remember that." (restate outcome using kid-friendly language)
I will ask each group to come group to make a circle on the carpet and ask
one of them to show, talk about what they did in their activity and what they
learned.

Assessment for Learning: How will you determine if the students understood the
learning outcome? What evidence will you show to prove this?
By observing, noticing them and collect samples or just take photos as
clues for it.
Differentiation:
There is cognitive level differentiate in their activities. For instance,
children who are in low-level activity will count, stamp 12 or 11 stamps.
While the low-mid level will find out these four number, from 10 to 13 and
shape each number by specific shape. The mid-high level has a higher
level in applying what they learn. They will count the strips and match it
with the right number. Because counting things are somehow challenging,
difficult to children because makes them confused. In high levels activity
preschoolers will count eyes for three monsters and match it with the
right number.

Recommendations / Future personal targets / Areas of focus

The areas that I need to develop are:

Make the lesson a learner-centered lesson.

Involve kinesthetic and active learning.
Generate hands-on or active activities that require doing addition
collaboration.
