Internship Goal #1: I will learn essential and effective techniques as
well as participate in and practice communicating with and involving the
community and stake holders.
ISSLC Standard Addressed: Standard 4: A school administrator is
an educational leader who promotes the success of all students by
collaborating with families and community members, responding to
diverse community interests and needs and mobilizing community
resources.
Activities to Address Internship Goal:
* Plan the start-of-school orientation program for new students and parents.
* Prepare an orientation videotape that describes the schools shared values.
* Develop the process and schedule for student-parent-teacher conferences.
* Identify community agencies that may want to partner and make initial contact with their
leaders.
* Invite the media in to support and report on a unique school program or activity.

Evidence to Document Attainment of Goal: I will provide sample


schedules and other documents used throughout the year, while also
recording student successes. I will reflect on specific issues,
conversations and meetings.

involvement in managerial duties of the principalship while also
participating in related activities.

an educational leader who promotes the success of all students by
ensuring management of the organizations, operations, and resources for
a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment.
Activities to Address Internship Goal:
* Serve on a hiring committee for a district-level position, teaching position, and a non-certified
staff position.
* Work with the building-level administration in the development or revision of a building
budget.
* Develop and/or participate in activities designed to ease students transition into the school and
out of it, into the next setting.

Evidence to Document Attainment of Goal: I will provide schedules


and reflections of activities. I will also document the managerial steps
that take place and the conversations I have with my mentors.

Internship Goal #3: I will learn refine and continue to define my
personal administrative platform. While doing this I am to utilize my
mentors to extend my understanding of school ethics and
professionalism

with integrity, fairness, and in an ethical manner.
Activities to Address Internship Goal:
* Examine my own personal ethical code.
* Create my own personal administrative platform, which includes, personal values and beliefs.
* Work towards building a collaborative school culture.
* Observe student discipline, with an ethical eye, noting any conflicts that may exist with
students rights.

Evidence to Document Attainment of Goal: I will provide a written


review of the board member interview. I will create a list of support
agencies and how families can access the services.
