To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Bella Hoffman. I had the wonderful opportunity to
have Bella as a student in my United States History class for the 2014-2015 school year at El Dorado High School. Bella
impressed me all term long with her dedication to learning and her tenacity. United States History is not the easiest
subject, it requires deep critical thinking skills and an ability to prove ones content knowledge through writing. Bella
however, excelled at the subject and I credit her success to not only her work ethic, but her motivation to always
improve herself.
Bella exhibited excellence in my class. She displayed outstanding organizational skills and a positive attitude during all
group projects, even when she suffered setbacks and deadline pressures. However, history is not the only subject Bella
excels at. In fact, history is not her favorite subject. Bella has had the unique opportunity to participate in El Dorados
Health Careers Academy, a program that has allowed her to go on multiple job shadows and take specialized classes
such as Medical Arts, Chemistry and Biology, a passion of hers.
However, academics are not Bellas only interest. Bella has participated in EDHSs Cross Country and Track & Field teams
as well as been on the Womens Basketball team for 3 years. Although she enjoys athletics, most of Bellas time is spent
helping others. Her enthusiastic and caring personality is demonstrated through her outstanding service to her
community. Bella has completed over 210 hours of community service at the Eskaton Senior Living Center and has
helped with multiple Toys4Tots drives and childrens basketball clinics. Last summer, Bella also began working as a
lifeguard and swim instructor. In order to qualify for his job Bella had to prove her dedication by passing CPR, First Aid,
and Lifeguarding classes. Currently, she is working as a barista at a local coffee shop in Placerville. With this many
extracurricular activities it is amazing that that Bella finds the time to make the people around her, whether teacher or
peer, feel important, appreciated and valued.
Bellas desire to effect change and help others is displayed in her academic accomplishments, community service and
her extracurricular activities. Bella has set very specific goals for herself and intends to enroll in a four year university
and later attend medical school to become a pediatrician. She takes full responsibility for her future and prepares,
tirelessly, to achieve her goals. Bella would make an excellent addition to any school or academic program. She is
motivated, committed, and determined and will not stop until she has positively impacted every person around her. I
look forward to watching her grow into an amazing, genuine, intelligent young woman in her post-secondary education
and activities.
Sincerely,

Christina Schultz
