A Social Philosophers Response

Based on your studies of living and working conditions present in late

nineteenth century industrial America and Britain, you will prepare a
pamphlet to hand out on the streets of an industrial city.
Requirements:
1. Your pamphlet must include the following pages. Each page should be
neatly written and illustrated.
Page 1: Title of Pamphlet. This should catch the eye of the people on
the street. (e.g.: Workers of the World Unite! You have nothing to loves
but your chains!) It should include the name of the author, Karl Marx.
This page should be appropriately designed.
Page 2: A description of the problems in society as you [Karl Marx] see
them- poverty, inequality, poor working conditions, lack of
opportunities, injustice. This page should be illustrated- no stick
figures.
Page 3: A description of the solution. What should be done? Why? What
will be gained by your program? This page should be illustrated.
Page 4: A challenge or charge to the reader. What do you want them to
do? As this is the back cover, this charge should also be very clear and
exciting. This page should be appropriately designed. In small print
there should be the name of the author of the pamphlet.
2. All pamphlets must be appropriately designed. Sentences must be
used except on the first and fourth pages. Better scores will be earned
by those who include the most specific and thorough descriptions of
problems and solutions in an attractive pamphlet.
