Sren Kierkengaard is an existentialist who focuses on the aspect
of the authentic self. This concept envelops aspects of personal choices
in their contributions to self-accomplishment through individualism.
Though there are a plethora of facets to every unique individuals life
multifarious life as Klempe states. We must combine all the differing
aspects that contribute to becoming our true authentic self. This
process can be challenging as there are so many contributions to what
people can do to self actualize that it becomes overwhelming to
categorize what to do.

In many instances of finding attainment a person may

experience a feeling of anxiety and stress due to the struggles found in
finding oneself. This proposition of stress due to the struggle of finding
self-authenticity is likely well known as angst, this expression
pinpoints the dark specter that engulfs personal assurance. It makes us
apprehensive to our future successes and, therefore, detriments from
progression. This statement is false. One cannot live a fruitful and
complete life without struggle. Zook beautifully illustrates this fact:
The good life, as it exists for
Kierkegaard, consists of the engaged struggle with this spirit of
anxiety, and the desire to confront and embrace the moment of
realization when one becomes aware that something greater can
be created of the self, that the self is somehow incomplete and
entangled in its current form.

Every human being, says Kierkegaard, no matter how slightly
gifted he is, however subordinate his position in life may be, has
a natural need to formulate a life-view
No person can truthfully become self aware and deeply happy if
there is no struggle. Even though common difficulties as mundane as
stubbing your toe appear just to be a small meaningless setback built
to irk really enriches the experience and tolerance of the individual.
Though seemingly unlikely, stubbing your toe has an effect on
anything other than hurting and causing anger or elevated anxiety. It
elevates life experience contention through overcoming challenges
as Buddhist principles put. No matter how big or small a challenge or
setback they help carry you to your self. Also known as your choice.

Choices are the enactments of a persons freewill. They push and

drive people to their next destination deliberately. Kierkegaard
emphasized the importance of personal choices as they impact the
reality of the individual. Children are able to look at people labeled as
fugitives without being prior informed subjectively state their opinions
with no predispositions of judgment or bias and therefore highlight
independence of thought choice and action. (Walters.) The point should
be emphasized that this flexibility of unfettered opinion results in
movement of going beyond the bounds of what is viewed as socially
accepted to become more. conform not to particular mores or codes

of conduct, but to another ethic that defies human comprehension.
(Tauber.)
Epitomizing the choice of the self to transcend in my opinion is
one of the healthiest ways to progress. If people werent reflective on
their life or their own personal choices then drive, hope, and inspiration
wouldnt come to be. All of those ideals come from within the
independent mind. Kierkegaard wants us all to realize whom we are
and why we need to find ourselves to better shape the world around
us. Stepping through social and environmental normalcies will mold the
next step in cultural progression. Though Kierkegaard was surrounded
by a bureaucratic society he looked for a mode of thought that would
change the world he lived in physically and mentally.
Contemplation only stimulates ideas and doesnt enact the
progression toward the actual self. It takes far more than just thinking
to pose a true impact to create the world we want to see. Action and
passion are the true instigators for change. If we progress inside our
perception of our world will progress causing for us to more easily
change to the world. No need to overcomplicate things. Simplify.
