Recent PG-13 movies feature more gun violence than R-rated films: Study
This article talks about a study that looked at how violence, but more importantly how
gun violence, has increased in movies over time. The study talks about how the introduction of
the PG-13 rating has allowed directors to implement more violence, without being restricting to a
younger audience. This article is published by CBS on November 11, 2013. CBS during this
time was recognized as a credible news network, that has a slight liberal agenda. This article is
strongly related to the previous article ad supports the information it proposes. The difference is
where the previous article talks about the quantity of R rated films and PG-13 rated films, this
article talks more about the quality in those movies and the different topics presented in those
movies. The combination of the two articles creates a clearer picture of what the problem my
essay will talk about.

2012. As a research article there is very little room for a bias opinion. By being peer reviewed, it
allows for further editing to remove bias opinions or any statement based on opinion only. This
connects to my article, by again looking at the effects that the medias plays on people life, but
this time, instead of looking at the violent effects, it looks at the personal effects, specifically,
materialism.
