ChooseanMCtowritebriefintroductionsforthe
keynotespeakerandthepresidentialcandidate.Introductionsshouldbeabout15seconds
longandshouldheavilypraisethespeakers(theyaregreatpeople,thebestthingto
happentoyourparty,andsoon).TheMCisalsoresponsibleforkeepingthecrowd
excitedandforcuingstandingovations(atleastfiveofthem)duringintroductionsand
speechesattheconvention.

Choosesomeonetowriteanddeliverakeynoteaddress
duringtheconvention.Thekeynotespeakersaddressshouldglorifyyourpoliticalparty,
criticizetheopposingpartyorcandidates,andpredictvictoryforyourcandidatesin
November.Coordinatethespeechwiththepresidentialnomineesothatthetwospeeches
arenotrepetitive.Thekeynoteneedstobedeliveredeloquentlyandshouldlastforone
minuteorless.
ChoosetheVicePresident
thisisultimatelythepresidentialnomineeschoice,butheor
shemaywishtoconsultotherpartymembersaboutthechoice.Thevicepresidential
candidatecanbeaformerpresidentialcandidateoranyoneinthepartywhowillincrease
thelikelihoodofthepresidentialnomineebeingelected.Youmaywishtokeepthis
decisionasecret(makesureyouaskyourvicepresidentialnomineeaheadoftime)until
youmaketheannouncementattheconvention.Oryoumightwanttotellothermembers

Writeanddeliveraspeechacceptingthe
nominationfortheofficeofpresidentoftheUnitedStates.Thespeechshouldbriefly
highlightthereasonsyouaretherightpersonfortheoffice,thankothercandidateswho
ranagainstyoufortheircurrentsupport,praisethemeritsofpartyharmony,andoutline
nofewerthanthreeissuesthatyoufeelmoststronglyabout.Yourspeechshouldpredict
victoryinNovember.Thespeechshouldendbyannouncingyourvicepresidential
runningmateandshouldbrieflyhighlightoneortwoimportantqualitiesofthatperson.
Thecandidateneedstoparticipateinwritingthisspeechandneedstoeloquentlydeliver
thespeechduringtheconvention.Thespeechshouldlastforoneminuteorless.
