Instructions for submission of Synopsis:

Before the start of project work, the student has to submit the synopsis of the Project Work to be
undertaken. The approval by the Expert Committee for the project synopsis is mandatory to start the
Project Work.

1. Synopsis is prerequisite to project work ( Weightage; 100 Marks: Project Work :70
Marks,Viva:30 Marks); it consists of summary of events that you intend to undertake
in pursuance of project work.
2. Submit synopsis by end of March (January Session) and end of September (July
Session). See Academic Calendar for exact date(s).

Understand the following while filling the fields:

a. Statement of Problem: Write briefly the statement related to the problem
b. Why This Topic Chosen: Your motive for selecting the topic
c. What Contribution would The Project Make And To Whom: Preferably select a
live issue related to your field of operations and describe briefly that how this
project would benefit the organization.
d. Objective & Scope: Briefly mention the Objectives within your scope of study.
e. Methodology: The process of collecting primary data (Questionnaire, Structured
Interviews .Limit sample size to manageable limits) and secondary data.

Chapter Scheme: List the chapters that your project report would consist of.
Suggested scheme may be as follows
Chapter 1: Introduction
Chapter 2: Literature Review
Chapter 3: Methodology
Chapter 4: Data Collection
Chapter 5: Data Analysis

Chapter 6: Findings
Chapter 7: Recommendations
Chapter 8: Conclusion
Appendices & Annexure
Bibliography
4. Project Guide: Project guide selected by the student should be an expert in that
relevant discipline with a minimum of five years of work experience
