NARRATIVE REPORT
Completion and Recognition Ceremony 2016
I.

INTRODUCTION

Education has always been one of the most important things a person can have. Isa
itong kayamanang hindi makukuha o mananakaw ng sinuman. Malayu-layo pa ang ating
lalakbayin mula junior high school patungong senior high school at kalaunay kolehiyo
subalit hindi ito nangangahulugang hindi natin kayang abutin ang ating mga pangarap. Ika
nga nila, bago maging isang matibay na espada, hinuhulma muna ito ng panday sa mainit na
apoy.
Junior high school is not the end. This is just the beginning. We accept the challenge!
Magbabalik po kami sa paaralan ng Lipahan National High School nang higit na matatag,
may paniniwala at sariling paninindigan. Papatunayan po naming ang kabataang mula sa K to
12 ang magdadala ng kaunlaran sa bansang Pilipinas.
This is a part of the speech from the first honor of the first batch of completer from
Lipahan National High School, Dianne Nicole D. Reyes. Indeed, education plays a vital role
in an individuals life. And as a teacher, it is such a great pride and honor to be part of every
students educational journey.

HIGHLIGHT

At 6 oclock in the morning, dated March 31, 2016, Thursday, most of the teachers of
Lipahan NHS are already in school to fix and put final touches before the program starts. It is
exactly 7 in the morning when the priest came and led the baccalaureate mass for the pioneer
batch of Lipahan NHS who will finally be finishing their junior high school.
8 in the morning, the program proper started by the entrance of the processional of the
completers, schools teaching force, visitors, guests and PTA officers. It was then followed
by the doxology, pledge of allegiance and singing of the national anthem, Batangas Hymn,
CALABARZON Hymn and San Juan Hymn.
Then a welcome speech was given by the second honor, Angelica D. Catipon.
Inspirational messages were also given by the school head, Ms. Mary Anne G. Aguila, Hon.
Rodolfo Manalo and Hon. Mario Magpantay. The message of the Schools Division
Superintendent was delivered by Atty. Caren Salimo.
Then, the first honor of the batch, Dianne Nicole D. Reyes received her three highest
awards and deliver her speech. There was a mixed of emotion- happiness that finally, after
four years of hard work in junior high, they were finally harvesting the fruit of their labor,
pride that the school has been a part of their educational journey, sadness that on the next

school year, the pioneer batch will no longer be on the premise of Lipahan but rather on the
senior high school already and hope that time will come, they will go back again to their
alma mater having their degree. As she delivered her speech, she couldnt help but cry as
together with her classmates, she looked back on the times they were new comer on the
school- the times when their teachers almost cursed them because of too much noise, the
time when together as one, they laugh, cry and enjoy the moment of high school life.
After that, students got themselves ready to receive their certificate of completion.
Pride can be envisioned from the faces and eyes of their parents. Then, everyone got excited
for the giving of awards and certificates. As their names were called, they excitedly stand and
receive their medals. Other who were not expecting to receive awards cried while others
couldnt help but smile.
Then, the completers sang their tribute song entitle Salamat by Yeng Constantino.
There was a part when they will be going to their parents to give them their medals and lei.
That is one of the emotional part of the program. Parents also cried as well as teachers. Most
of the students also approached their teachers, specially their adviser to say thank you. Then
they sang one more song for their classmates entitled One Call Away.
The completion program ended with a throwback message form the guidance teacher
who is one of the pioneer teacher, together with Sir Edgardo Alipio and the schools former
head, Mrs. Zenaida Delos Santos.
Right after the completion ceremony, the recognition program followed where
deserving grades 7 to 9 students were given awards.

CONCLUSION

It is really amazing how the magic of education transforms lives. As the new chapter
of life of the pioneer batch of Lipahan NHS unfolds, may doors of opportunities and
windows of success open for them all.
May they continue to dream and aspire, to hope and learn, to do and win. May all of
them learn the value of friendship and strength as they start their new journey as senior high
school students.
And above all, may Lipahan National High School continue to provide quality
education and inspire young minds to dream, to believe and to survive for them to be the
brightest stars in the galaxy called human race!
