ThisweekIspentmytimecontinuingtoteachU.S.Historyandworkingtobecomemore
involvedinEconomics.Bothclassesthisweekweregettingtestsattheendoftheweek,
somostoftheweekwasspendreviewingfortheassessments.Iwasresponsiblefor
makingsurethatallthestudentswereclearonwhattheyneededtoknow.
2. Whatwereyourmostsatisfyingexperiences?Whatwereyourmostchallenging
experiences?
MymostsatisfyingexperiencethisweekcamefromgradingthetestsIgaveonThursday.
Iwashonestlyfrightenedthatthestudentswouldntdoverywell,andIwaspleasantly
surprisedwhenthetwoclassaveragesforthetestwererightat80%.Ifeltlikethe
studentshadactuallybeenpayingattentiontomyteaching.Mymostchallenging
experiencethisweekhappenedonFridaywhenIwasstartingthenewunitonthe
VietnamWar.Iwastryingtogetthestudentstoworkingroupstoanswerquestions
regardingthereadingsthattheyhadinfrontofthem,buttheykeptgettingofftask.
Thinkingbackonit,Ishouldhaveassignedthegroupsforthegroupworkinsteadof
lettingthekidschoosetheirgroups.ThatissomethingthatIwilldefinitelytrytobe
betterwithinthefuture.
