Table 5: Learning styles

Make notes about activities you observe in the classroom which use the learning styles
below:

Math:
o Auditory: They teacher play a song in the YouTube about digit numbers. And the
students was singing with them.

Visual: The lesson was about counting, so all students have a money picture
and they have to go and pay some stuff.

Kinesthetic: Students lying on the ground to form a triangle.

Science:
o Auditory: the teacher plays an audio with instruction about how they can
do fan and the students apply it.
o Visual: The lesson was about energy resources, so the teacher prepares
a table with some stuff, and they have to glue the picture of resources
beside this stuff, for example, wooden chair they have to glue beside it a
tree picture.

Kinesthetic: The Students throw the balls to learn about the


attractiveness of the earth.

Reading:
o

Auditory: The teacher read a story to the student and they listen to her.

Visual: When the student read a story, they read a story that attaches with
pictures.

Kinesthetic: The student was acting the stories.

Other-music:
o

Auditory: The student listen to different types of music.

Visual: When they learn to difference between the musical instruments they
learn it by picture.

Kinesthetic: Making the rain sound by jumping and clapping hand.

Answer the following questions:

Which learning styles did all the children seem to enjoy and why?

I think the Visual style because all children see that most fun when they
see the information transfer to a picture.

Why do you think the teacher incorporates a variety of learning styles for the
children?
Because not all students learn in one style, some of them are visual,
some are auditory, and they is a lot of different learning style in the
children.

Notice which activities are repeated with a variety of learning styles e.g. read a
story, listen to a story, act the story, draw the story. Can you find other examples
e.g. math or science
Another example in science lesson they have to know about the Wind direction,
so they use different learning style to go the activity so first they have listened to
the video that the teacher plays it, and it tells them about the Wind direction that
they start doing the activity and by using some pictures which is visual learning
style.

How can teachers improve student learning by using a range of learning styles?

If the teacher what to improve the student learning she must have to use a
different learning style to be fair with the student as we know not all student
learning in same learning style. so for example if she has a visual learner and
auditory and she explained the lesson by using Audio and pictures she will
help this to difference student learning style to understand and learn more.
