Report

Course name: Math and science in classroom

Course code: EDU 1802
My name: Amani Ali _ID: H00278159
Teacher Name: Basel Badran
A word count: 815

Introduction:
This assessment helps me making an educational video and it was a brilliant
experience. As the student and teachers benefiting from the YouTube, I would
like to share my knowledge with the junior teachers. The reasons of choosing
the temperature lesson are first it is in the curriculum and the student have
to know more about the temperature phenomenon Moreover when we are
working on the video assessment we didn't face any problem but in
transferring the video to another computer that was trouble. Our video
aimed for grade two, age 7-8 years old.

Learning objectives:
In the end of lesson the student will be able to:
1. Compare the objects expand in hot and cold water by the balloon.
2. The student will read the numbers of Celsius in thermometer that
they will get it when they will measure the water temperature.
3.The last one is the student will be able to use the thermometer and
we want to achieve that all goals on the lesson.

Description:
Analyze:

Analyze mean to study activity in carefully and in detail for example

the student analyze the cloud formation by certain actions than
identify the reasons and possible results of that.

Measure:

The measurement helps to know the sizes of objects, wide, length and
quantity of the fluids standards. We use the measure every day in our
life for example, when we want to cook, we measure the ingredients
amount for example we put half of a cup of flour or one liter of water.

Observe:

Monitoring something or someone to see the movements of the

changes happen. For example, I observe the sunset in the evening.

Classifying:

The classifying mean to put things or objects in a certain order by

either colors, shapes or sizes. For example, organize the kitchen
shelves by putting the dishes from the bigger to smaller.

Engage:
A:
The engage one of the must strategies that will be as a good
introduction to the student. The teacher can attract her student to the
lesson in a difference ways for example, play to them a video about
the topic lesson so she will give them an idea about the topic and
attract them to the lesson.

B:
We putted a video as engage in the lesson and that video was included
a lot of information that can introduce the lesson topic. The video
involve and attract the young students attention more especially if it
was a cartoon.

Explore:
A:
It is all about learning by doing so the student will not wait to get
the information from the teacher they have to explore and
search for the information by investigate problems. For example,
the student learn about the plants life so they plant lentils and
observe her growing.
B:
In the video we give the students the instruction about the
experiment but they will do it by themselves. Also in the explore
we link process skills which are analyzing, measuring, observing
so first while they explored the temperature of the water they
analyzed the experiment by asking themselves for example why
we cannot measure the water by our hands exactly like the
thermometer ?. Second, they putted the thermometer in the
water, and observed the thermometer five seconds to measuring
the water temperature after that, they classified the water in the
basin by named with a difference letter.

Explain:
A:
Explanation thing or activities that they do it if is clear or unclear
by clarifying what happened, how and why by saying that to
other students
B:
After the experiment the student will explain it to the teacher
and other groups. Each group will say what they do in the
experiment by and the steps of the experiment than how they

used the tools and what they observed in the experiment. For
example they will observe the balloon bulging in the bottles.

Evaluate:
A:
An estimate for the student understanding and show their levels
for example in the end of the lesson ask them about the lesson.
B:
We evaluate the student by giving them a worksheet in the end
of the lesson.

Work divided:
Marwa Abdulrahman
Amani Ali
Each of as was searched information for her experiment with the
definitions.
Each of as took the video for the other partner.
Each of as did a worksheet about her experiment.
Each of as brought the materials for her experiment.
We use her laptop to edit in the I read the slides power point and
moves programs.

record it on the video.
